Hey everyone. I've noticed a lot of people are having a blast with all of these RP threads. I know I am. I'm just kind of curious to see some of your characters' backstories, abilities, and maybe even pictures if you have anything for that character. Consider this thread like a mini-database for all of your characters. You can add as many as you want.

You may, however, want to limit this topic to one post per person and everyone can just edit theirs as time goes on. It won't be much for discussion. Discussion is when we make each other eat bullets or blades.

Here's an idea for how you can talk about your characters.

Name: Character's name.
Thread: Which RP thread he or she is on.
Signature abilities: Moves your character can use. You may want to hold-off talking about all of them until you use them, just to surprise your opponent.
Backstory: If the character has one.
Pictures: Action shots, drawings, even MS Paint ideas of just how your character looks.

Back Story: A big tough guy who P.Oed a alien and injected a experimental chemical into him who made him like this, now he lives in a criminal ridden area in a run-down apartment and just want to be left alone.

Is this just for characters used in games on the Escapist? I've got some other characters that I use too. I guess I'll just post the Escapist ones here.

Name: William S. Bakerfield
Thread: Cyberpunk Lynching RP
Abilities: Bakerfield is an almost total cyborg who doesn't look like it. The only way to tell that he is pretty much all machine is to look into his eyes long enough to notice that the iris is composed of tiny circuts. He has a communications system, a combat AI called Clock, and various weapons systems built into his body, including a pistol in his hand that fires from his palm (those are the abilities that he has demonstrated thus far).
Backstory: A buisinessman working for Cybernet, Bakerfield is the agent that they send to meetings with particularly troublesome clients and other such special projects.
Haven't got any pictures. Bakerfield has an unlined face but silver hair, always wears an expensive suit, and has a Cybernet lapel pin. That's all the description I have.

There's also Zem Willius Clockman on the Dungeon Crawling threat DM'd by Larenxis, but I can't give out any details about him because that would give away some of the advantage I have over my fellow players. Know only that he is a sorcerer who is relentlessly cheerful, with occasional barbed comments.

Name: Darth Athrix
Thread: Star Wars RP 2: Blades of Retribution
Abilities: Those currently known by the public are Force Speed, Force Jump and Force Storm.
Backstory:

Recruited from the Correlian undercity when he used his bare teeth to rip the throat out of a Sith Legion trooper in sight of his soon to be Master, Darth Obvadius. No record of his name at this time has been recovered.

A diagnosed Sadist and clinically insane, he remains in a state of control only by a constant semi-immersion in the dark side, His training was brief and incredible, the main challenge being to convince him to use a Vibroblade instead of attempting to rip the eyes and tongue out of his opponent with his fingers, teeth, and on one memorable occasion, his toes.

Darth Obvadius was killed by Athrix 12 years into his apprenticeship, when Athrix surpassed his mastery in Single Combat, and at least equalled him in his mastery of the force. Athrix was conferred Lordship by himself, and recognised as such 6 months later when he used his fingernails to skin the faces of the scouting party sent to apprehend him for charges.

Athrix built his own Lightsaber in the early days of the Sith use of such weapons, slightly shorter than other sabers, with a longer handle, Anthrix favors the blade for its ability to hit with massive power at a quicker rate than the elegant weapons of his fellow Lords or the Jedi. His Lightsaber style was largely unclassified until he spent much time training in the Jedi's traditional combat form 1. The Dark side is even more wild when channeled through this style, and Athrix has made no attempt to correct the perverse mutations to the style his years of improvisation have granted it. It is rumored Athrix went back to Correlia to place a fragment of skull from his first Sith murder into the haft.

His infamous Rivalry with Jedi Master Volk began with a chance meeting on the massed battlefield on some distant planet, where they dueled for almost 4 hours, before the Sith forces were forced to retreat... After an additional 45 minutes of fighting, Athrix was forced to comply with orders as he was now the only Sith member within kilometers of a full Jedi Contingent.

Their relationship grew more obsessive when Athrix lead a Strike on Volks childhood home... Famously, Athrix roasted alive over 300 people personally, before having them strung up in iron poles and attached to Jedi distress beacons. Volk himself was the first person to arrive on the scene, and records on the events of that day have since been lost.

Athrix took an apprentice, Darth Typhen, when he witnessed the boy use a rudimentary knowledge of the force to push another childs dataquill into his brain stem. Typhen proved inept at ground maneuvers but was accoladed as a masterful ships captain, much to Athrix's disappointment. Typhen was killed by Volk himself in a famous Space battle over the Lightsaber and war factories of Byss.

Only months later Athrix defeated Volk's own Apprentice Jallil Vlos in a duel on Yavin 4.

But of course, the conclusion to Volk and Athrix's hatred is know by every school-being across the galaxy.

bio:was in a horrible accident with the woman he loved when younger. Gaea's body was completely destroyed and she became just a living mind that he has integrated into his computer. he still sees Gaea as the only thing he loves. the same accident severely injured his body and forced him to replace several organs(including his left eye), both of his legs and his left arm. but more importantly his mind was damaged to. he is border line psychotic,and emotionally unstable with many eccentricities,. he lives in a home he made for himself in the maze of the underground. no one is really quite sure where he lives and he aims to keep it that way. he only ventures out to speak to certain clients and the basic necessities. he doesn't work for the money, he only works for shits and giggles.the only way to contact him is through a pay phone and a certain number sequence. he gives this information only to people he finds interesting. not always reliable but very resourceful can get you out of a jam if he feels like it. is proficient with a rifle and knows explosives is the paramilitary type. if he decides to kill someone his usual methods are a snipers bullet or a well placed bomb.

One of the scientist responisble for the portal through worlds, he has promised his dying mentor that he will stop it by any means. As the chaos insude he managed to find a rifle and 5 other personal and escape. He now remains... a scorn and broken man; a man with a mission!

Appearance: long black hair(tied back), tan skin, girlish face and voice, black/brown eyes(one is black, the other is brown), a cursed and clawed right arm, a metallic left arm, black kimono with blue japanese characters on the front(opened at the front) and black pants, black boots.

Backstory: Born into a peasant family, figment was one of three children and was actually named malicia. She was usually called figment because her parents were told that they couldn?t have any more children by the village doctor and then they discovered that figments mother was pregnant again, this time with malicia, they couldn?t believe it. Even after she was born they couldn?t believe that she was there, they thought she was a figment of their imagination. she and her family had a normal life until one day, when she was nine, a dark stranger came into the village and tried to warn the people of a impending attack, they ignored him. that night the troops from another kingdom attacked the village for supplies and when the villagers fought back they killed every one there except for her. The only reason she survived was because when she was running away she was hit on the head and she, when she finally passed out, fell into the river near the village and was washed away. When she came to, she found herself in a cave on a bank in there and she began to search for a way out. She soon found the buried ruins of a old civilization in one tunnel and a way out in another. She was going to go into the way out one but a hidden force pulled her toward the tunnel to the ruins and she went down it. She soon discovered a black orb in the ruins and touched it, thus releasing the dark energy inside it and turning her left arm into metal. She then took the orb away and ran out of the ruins, through the cavern where she awoke, out the other tunnel, and into the army force that destroyed her village(her family was known for their horrible luck). They immediately saw her and decided to kill her but at that same time the dark stranger came picked her up and carried her away. She thanked him and then asked him what happened to her family, it was a few days later when he finally told her what happened to them and worse, that their souls were trapped in the void with the demons of the night. He then told her that she was the only one that could save them and that the only way she could was to join him and his master. She immediately accepted and allied herself with them. She soon discovered that her left arm wasn?t the only thing that changed, her right arm was cursed and slowly changed to look like it, she had amazing stamina and she moved faster. She then started doing what her new master willed (a.k.a. killing people). One day she came home to discover the black orb (she had kept it hidden from the master, fearing he would take it away) had turned into a sword, as black as the orb and made up of spikes. She then explained how she got this to her master and, oddly , he was happy for her but decided to send her on a quest to get the 5 elemental orbs (the 6th one she already got) as punishment for lying. Soon after she found a village that was destroyed like her own and a now orphaned girl like herself. She adopted that girl and together they went looking for the orbs. it's been three years since the fantasy/medievel rp and something had happened there to make her quit being a death dealer, she is now currently the new pirate queen (no one knows if this is true or not).

Weapons: Metallic staff (can change apperance/ imitate other weapons)
Abilities: Gravity control, teleportation, ice/earth control, ability to turn beings magnetic, blue shimmering barrier?, Sound burst (melee, so far...), seems impervious to slashing or piercing weapons (but he seems to feel the blunt trauma from such hits), can imitate fighting styles to a certain degree, more to come...
Appearance: A figure standing 6'2" dressed in black hooded robes only the lower part of his face visible, has never shown his whole face in the arena stating that it wouldn't be prudent.
Background: Showed up in the arena announcing that his "sponsors" had personal interest in the stronger fighters in the arena, seems to have been Blue's mentor at some point, but always seems to be furthering his own agenda. Had a showdown with Karumara about him binding Karumara's brother Jian's soul to a sword for not upholding a contract with his "sponsors", later fused Jian's soul with a armored flesh golem to do battle with Karumara, the golem lost.
Seems to like red wine and often appears out of nowhere sitting in a stylish chair sipping a glass of it. Seems to know more than he's letting on.


Name: Dr. Jonathan "Stitches" McCoy

Time Period: Mid Victorian era (ca. 1860-80)

Weapons: Rapier, revolver and explosives.

Backstory: When McCoy was younger he studied medicine at a renowned university in Liverpool, to pay for his tuition he worked as a locomotive engineer on the Liverpool-Manchester line, this is where he picked up his knack for mechanics.
After graduating from the university, he travelled to the frontier-towns of the U.S. of A. helping the people in need and assisting with various problems.
It was here in the states that he learned the proper use of explosives, as he was often called to help with construction, seeing as he was often the closest one with any formal education.
It was also in the states that he lost his right leg in an explosion that went awry, he lived with a peg leg for a long time, but later constructed a steam powered prosthetic with an integrated revolver in the knee.
After returning to Britain and purchasing a workshop, he began working on his biggest project yet, a steam powered airborne ironclad.
The project was eventually finished and his pride and glory, the Revenant, was ready for it's first adventure.
He travelled to various places around the world, and after getting hit by a ferocious storm on his way over the Atlantic, he and his crew suddenly found themself near the True Battle Arena.

Motivation: McCoy is motivated by new knowledge, damsels in distress and an unhealthy interest in how machines of higher technology works.

I have two characters, So I'll just do my favorite

Name: Karumara
Age: Twenty-three
Thread: Fantasy/ midevil
Combat: Ninja shaman
Weapons: Quite a few physical weapons, and Terra magic (He clasps his hands together)
Desires: Karumara is obsessed with killing Darwin, so that He can put his past behind him and live in peace.

Recent activity: In his most recent encounter with Darwin, he summoned a Golem with the spirit of Jian (Karumara's brother) and fled, Karumara defeated the golem and later killed an evil girl, by the name of Kriane, who he had befriended earlier on. He now awaits Darwin's return

Karumara vs. Darwin: Darwin treated Karumara like a punching bag for a few minutes, draining Karumara of his will to fight him again

Past life: has trained as a shinobi for fifteen years after a narrow escape from his brother, who was told by Darwin to kill him. He found the katana with Jian's spirit in it four years ago apon revisiting his hometown. The blade has sence been cleansed of Jian's spirit and is still in Karumara's arsinal

 

[Danny Ocean]

Name: Yin (no surname, see bio)
age: 15 1/2. the 1/2 is VERY important.
Thread: Random Battle RP
Skills: Healing, sleeping, Tae Kwon Do and Bo-Jitsu.
Signature abilities: Very agile, can pull off flips and gymnastics easily, can deflect projectiles by spinning his staff really fast.

Weapons: A bo staff made with the help of his late master, modified by cutting up his old semicircular blade into 2 parts, electrifying them, and mounting them on both ends; a knife given to him by Trajan; and his limbs.

Appearance: 5'4", lean build but wears flowing martial robes. He wears a haggard black belt with 3 gold stripes on it. His hair is unkempt, but not dirty, and reaches down to the base of his neck, and curls up a little there. His skin is dark, but not black, and his eyes are so brown that they can appear black at times.

Bio: Has been training with his master since he could walk, but when he was about 10 his family, master, and home were taken from him. He has spent the the intervening years homeless. Over the last years he has taught himself how to heal, and discovered some other 'latent abilities'. He is currently on the lookout for a new mentor.

Personality: Curious to the extent that he has had to run for his life in the past. Enjoys making things. In the mornings he is stupendously grouchy until he gets some food in him, and at night he gets very clingy. For the most part he is a lively and playful character, without much, if any, aggression in him. He will tend towards good rather than evil.
