Your Shank impressions.

Last Tuesday Shank came out on the XBLA and PSN. It looked fun and the demo provided a good 'feel' for the game. I've scouted around and it has received reviews ranging from 50/100 to 100/100 and no concentration of scores (as in out of 11 review 6 are 80s). So I come to ask those who have played it what your impressions are.

Ooohhhh...I thought you were talking about Michael Shanks from Doomsday Arcade...

I've never even heard of this game.

Shank?

It's got a nice aesthetic, but the gameplay is very lacking. Hell, I got bored during the ten minutes of the demo. And I didn't spam any particular combos, either. I was being diverse in my assaults. Utilizing the chainsaw on pounced enemies, shanks for CQC, and pistols to keep enemies at bay when pounced on a target and needing breathing room before the chainsaw.

Great game, difficulty curve seems varied from each time I pick it up.

Nerf the dogs. By god, I abhor those things.
