As most of you probably know, Skyrim introduced an interesting new mechanic; marriage.

Now, I had a bit of a problem deciding who to marry. I wanted to find someone who actually fit with my character. My Skyrim character is a Khajit ranger, and since there are no Khajit marriage partners, that added a bit more to decide upon. I eventually settled for an Argonian, and I was torn between <url=http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Derkeethus>Darkeethus and <url=http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Scouts-Many-Marshes>Scouts-Many-Marshes. There are things about both of them that I liked, but I ended up going with Scouts on the fact that I had already been messing around in the area, and would have to start up a new mission.

EDIT: I have since refused Scouts and am very happy with Derkeethus. He's very useful as a follower and as a companion; he has a similar playstyle as myself (albeit flawed due to the derpy AI), and he makes me an income. Not to mention he's basically an immortal shopkeeper that follows me wherever I go.

So, who did you choose to marry, and why?

I know I'm going to sound really dumb, but what does bump mean. Not the normal bump like a road bump. But what does that mean?

Bumping your thread back to the top so it gets more attention. See: dick move. Seriously, don't do it.

Farkas!
He was the best looking guy that was easy to get to lol
There were other options but I was too lazy to get them as marriage options at the time lol

I apologize... I looked in the CoC, and didn't see anything about it, so I didn't think that it would be a big deal. I just thought it was kind of odd that I didn't get a single reply.

Generally I find that companions are more of a hassle than anything. They're either incredibly weak and a pain to watch over or immortal badasses that take all the fun out of fighting. I guess if I find an available Argonian woman for my character I can give it a go. :p

On my Noble Arcane Warrior file (aka Good Guy file) I married Mjoll The Lioness

On My Archer Thief Wood Elf, but still a Nice helpful guy file (Main File) I married Aela The Huntress

Their the only two interesting female characters that you can marry - thus I picked them....'Nuff said.

Aela the Huntress. She's the most substantial relationship you can foster in Skyrim. (second place goes to Tolfdir and you can't marry him.)

I'm a sniper. We don't have the capacity for a long-term relationship. Perhaps once I re-roll to finish the other guilds...

I married Ysolda on my first mage champ, but I don't like dragging people around with me. I have enough problems with random followers getting in the way of my lightning bolts and fireballs that I don't need to subject myself to it anymore by bringing along a companion or her.

My second character is an assassin so I'm not bringing anyone with me either (haven't decided if he'll marry), cause they'll just make me lose all my sneak attack bonuses.

My only two companions in Skyrim, is my horse and my war dog, Vigilance. They don't have much to say which is perfect.

Mine turned out to be Aela the Huntress, I was a crazy sword swinging lycan that hate the empire ant to a lesser extent the Stormcloaks and she is a slightly more bloodthirsty yest less eccentric Lycan that used Bows, it was just a good fit.

Seems like I'm not alone in my choice. I would have married J'Zargo for the College of Winterhold, but the game wouldn't let me. And like the OP said, there aren't any other Kahjit as you can marry either. So, I guess this furr..er, um, Kahjit fan, had to settle for a werewolf. She was one of my favorite NPC's, I guess I only like chicks if they're kinda manly. Plus, she gave me her werewolf love, we had a special bond...

I'm not quite sure why? Not every companion has to result in a sexual relationship if that is what your referring to?

I never got married except to some dark elf girl (the one in the mage's collage, I can't remember her name >.<) and she died quickly afterword.

I thought this was about the other kind of partner (companions) :/

I had Sven with me far more than my spouse. I loved Sven, even though he wouldn't love me back
:(. And then he died. I have horrible luck with partners.

I married Marcurio, the Imperial mercenary mage from the Bee and Barb. It was love at first sight (i.e. he is significantly less hideous than other male marriage options...) and he's also not too shabby at fighting.
