Hey escapees.
I wanted to ask all of you what your good deeds have been or something you're proud of because you know it helped someone.

Mine would be giving money to a friend of mine because she was in some financial trouble and she wanted to see her boyfriend who she's pretty serious with. It wasn't much but it got the job done.

What are your deeds?

I usually take a bus into town, sometimes the bus is rather full, so I will always give up my seat for an elderly person or pregnant woman.

Nothing special, but I like to think it helps.

There was this one time a man in a wheel chair was having real problems getting over a bump on the pavement (it was also uphill), everyone in front of me just walked right past the guy.

I asked if he needed a boost, and pushed him over the hump.

Again, nothing special.

There was a guy who ran up to me in the parking lot of my local Family Video, asking me which way Wal Mart was. I told him, and he asked me how long of a walk it was. It's a fairly lengthy walk, which clearly wasn't good news for him. He told me that he'd been kicked out of his house in Indianapolis, about an hour north of where I live, and he was trying to get to Louisville, about a half hour south of us, to stay with some family. Somehow, getting to Wal Mart was essential to getting to Louisville, something about meeting a friend or something, so I told him to hop in my car and I'd give him a ride, since it was on my way home. We talked on the way there, and he mentioned, in passing, that he hadn't had anything to eat in a few days, so I pulled in to Arby's, bought him a sandwich, a soda, and a turnover, then dropped him off at Wal-Mart.

On retrospect, he may have been lying through his teeth, just trying to hitch a ride to Wal-Mart for some other reason, but I don't really care. I felt pretty good about myself.

I try to do everything I can to help people, it makes me feel good, and hopefully shows everyone that teenagers can be awesome too =D

Most of this work ends up helping friends, and some of them end up just using me to do work n stuff, but meh, still feel good inside

I try to be the best person I can, especially to help people, but it's annoying that I get shy a bit.

It's annoying!

But yeah, I do try to help people whenever I can.

good deeds? pfffft humanity is beyond redemption, I dont care (ohhh see how awsome I am?)

ok ok joking aside

I bought a drink at a shop at the busport, an asian lady works there and I swear somtimes when she works the till she goes so fast she's going to hit light speed

anyway I gave her a $20 and in my change she accidently gave me an extra $5 note...so I made like 1 or $2

I couldnt keep it because I would have felt terrible, so I returned it to her I dont know if she understood why I was giving her $5

I lent money, approx. 222$, to a friend with real bad economy. So far, he's paid back 75% of it.

I helped a person who had just left the hospital carry his bag across the street. Yeah, that was it...

Just last night I gave 2 office acquaintances (not friends, just coworkers) a ride to the bar even though I had no plans to join them. I just dropped them off and went back to doing what I was doing before they called (nothing). Though really I only did it because I have a VERY hard time saying no when people ask me for reasonable favors. But then if that's true, doesn't that make me a nice guy, or does it just make me a doormat? I know the answer, but I wonder if others would think differently, and why?

I chased a guy halfway down a street and lost my place in a queue (I'd been standing in it for a good 10 minutes) to give him back a fiver he dropped.

Not the second coming or anything, but I got a nice glow inside for the rest of the day.
