Your Story for Minecraft

Minecraft has no story or plot. It's just you, alone or with a few people, out on the land trying to survive using the resources. But I hear people make their own stories. Just heard it, not sure if it's true. So, what's your story for Minecraft? Like, the plot of the game.

I think you're lost in a huge, open, untouched area of the world rich with resources but loaded with nocturnal creatures. No explorers dare to go in, and those who do are the zombies and skeletons. So, you have been somehow dropped off there and now you must survive.

You wake up with amnesia in an empty landscape. Nothing seems familiar to you. You have no idea where you are.
Panic sets in, your mind is swirling with mixed emotions, you don't know what to do.
Suddenly you hear a clear voice, an old memory passing through your thick barrier of amnesia, and it says: "The only way to survive is to... Punch trees."

I actually wrote a very short Minecraft fanfic. It was weirdly therapeutic. But it was from the perspective of a block of dirt, so it isn't very appropriate here.

I think that one day, Beardy McBlueshirt was wandering around his back garden when OH NO! An interdimensional portal made entirely of cubes appeared in the air before him. Considering this geometric vortex of mystery and polygons, Beardy thought 'Fuck it, I'm made of blocks: I never felt at home in this curvy universe anyway' and dived right in - headfirst!

Then Minecraft happened.
