i recently beat fable 3 and i personally feel it is a terrible game. the combat felt slugish and the framerate was constantly struggling to keep up.
so any way for those that have played the game what is you opinion

I didn't have any noticable framerate problems when I played. Did you install the game or just played from the disc?

thought it was not worth what i payed for it, brand new price, but a decent game, to me all fable games have been a little sluggish, but most RPG's are arent they?

I thought it was pretty good, although in every single battle my character would do one of those slow motion attacks, and it got really annoying. The way shops and leveling were set up bugged me too, and I want the old magic set-up from the original Fable. Other than that, I really liked it.

It was good up untill the end where EVERYONE DIED AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE LEFT. I know that there was another ending but there should be a way to have all the people live and still be good

There is. I saved everyone, didn't do anything evil, and my country loved me at the end. Of course, I had gold to BURN, so I didn't really have to worry about making people hate me. I owned everything in the entire world.

On Topic: I loved the game. I had no problem with frame rate (although sometimes my golden trail would vanish, and a quest would glitch), and combat was fun for me. The story was good, and the introduction of the second enemy halfway through got me excited. I was all set to replay the game as a male character.
And then I got to the end. WHAT THE HELL TYPE OF BOSS FIGHT WAS THAT?! Nothing explained, no closure, no epic battle to bring cities crashing down, no amazing ending. NOTHING! Me and one other foe who could even touch me! A two minute ending with everyone saying how they'll miss so-and-so while staring at a statue. The ending was such a let down that I loaned the game to my friend after I beat it. Every time I think I want to replay it, I remember the letdown I felt, and the urge passes.
Anyone remember the final boss fight in The Lost Chapters? THAT'S how you end a Fable game.

I hadn't heard much of Fable before I bought my 360, all I knew was that it was a popular game so I bought it from the marketplace and loved it, this was before Fable 2 was released so I was keeping up to date with it, but I also never knew of Peter Molyneux and his infamous marketing techniques so I had no reason to question him, I bought and played Fable 2 and was entirely unimpressed, it was boring, the combat seemed off and the main character looked like he was brain dead, all these elements combined made me angry at the fact that I had bought into Peter's "charm" and was determined to only buy the game if it got positive reviews from both critics and gamers, and since that time I've come to distrust internet critics and really only pay attention to actual gamers, and so far it hasn't recieved the positive reception needed for me to make a purchase.

My friend however read reviews thinking it looked like a good game, now I admit to not playing the game long enough to come to a solid conclusion, but it seemed like I was right to judge, it just felt uninspired, not enough was added to the actual game, it seemed to be full of little features to make playing the game easier.

Basically, more of the same but hidden under a veil of boring add ons.
