Its basically just people who get off to fat people eating a shitload of food. Sometimes they feed them, other times they just watch. Sometimes its watching skinny people. Its gross to me, but hey, so are huge jiggly asses and tattoos so what do I know?!

I'm generally fine with anything as long as no-one is getting hurt (in a way they don't want). I suppose one could argue that the 'gainers' are getting hurt because of the negative health effects of being overweight, but I'm not going to concern-troll overweight people. Overweight people know they are overweight, and they know what happens when you're overweight. As long as everyone's happy it's all good.

It's pretty horrid.

Not only is it endangering the "gainer's" health, it also makes them physically and emotionally depended on the "feeder". The gainer gains so much weight they can't do shit for themselves anymore, and they can't break off this relationship should they want to for fear of ending up alone and incapacitated. It's basically a form of enslavement.

Also note that most of these feeders are themselves fitness junkies, who want to endulge in an unhealthy lifestyle without putting their own bodies at risk.

It's not a relationship built on mutual respect and/or love, but on a physically and mentally unhealthy obsession.

I accidently came across this fetish on TV this past week. My reaction to it was "NO!...NO!...NO!" It was like watching someone pouring booze down an alcoholic's throat. It was very disturbing to watch.

Given we're already sprinting towards a catastrophic health care crisis, I take a rather dim view of any fetish that contributes to the problem. I think people should have the right to be in these kinds of relationships (obviously, how can you legislate eating too much?), and it's a hell of a lot better than the types of fetishes that harm 3rd parties, but it still creeps me out in ways I'm not willing to put down as simple prejudice. There's a rather unsavory power dynamic at play here, and an undercurrent of mental damage for the feeder themself. People can shout at me over "fatshaming" until they're blue in the face, but when someone sets out with the express goal of becoming as fat as possible (in some cases, they actually aim to become bed-bound) then that crosses the line from kinky into self harm. Not mention the fact that they're basically setting out to become a burden on society unless they have some way holding a job from their bed room.

Yeah yeah, I agree we need to have welfare for the disabled, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to judge someone who deliberately cripples themself just because it's their kink, only to then spend the rest of their short life laying in bed leeching off the government/those around them while shitting themself because they're too fat to even use a bed pan.

This of course doesn't really apply to the more mild gainer-feeder relationships where the people are still within a reasonable weight range and able to still walk, but still. Overall, it's not really much of a problem since they're only hurting themselves, and because they're a small (no pun intended) enough group that they're basically a drop in the ocean as far as costing society.
