So i have been hanging around other websites seeing how people are acting to the new UMVC3 trailer about Phoenix Wright (here it is just in case you haven't seen it)


so i want to know is your thoughts on Phoenix Wright beening in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

I want fun (which is different than enjoyment) and wackiness from a Marvel game. Pretty damn sure this qualifies.

Don't get me wrong, there are other characters in the game that I like. But if this game DIDN'T have Phoenix in it, I wouldn't be getting it.

I'm just going to relax, roll my eyes at the haters and enjoy playing as Phoenix Wright. Thank you.

Well yeah, aren't they all? It's a crossover fighter. The entire point is to get as many fanbases as possible to reach for their collective wallets.

I think he'll make a great addition to the cast. I especially love that his "moves" don't really look like he's fighting. More like he's just minding his own business, going about his investigation, doing his thing, while his opponent just happens to be getting hit.

Man, between him, MODOK and Sentinel, trolling scrubs online is gonna be more fun than ever.

As said above, I'd rather we were getting Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney or Ace Attorney Investigations 2, but hell yeah I'm excited about this. He's the one reason I jumped off the fence and pre-ordered the game. I also think they've really hit the nail on the head with his design, the 3-mode style he's got is a great translation of the spirit of his home games like Arthur gaining and losing his armour is.

And to all those out there who say he's a 'waste' because he's not a 'serious' fighter, did I miss something? This is a game where Spider-Man and the Hulk can get smacked in the face with a life bar and Chun-Li can do her thunder thighs thing on Albert Wesker. This is not a 'serious' game. Sure, you can get very deep into the mechanics, but why can't you do that with Wright like you can with Akuma or Sentinel? Sure, he's got goofy moves and a quirky gimmick but that's what differentiates him from all the other characters.

Fucking awesome. We've got Phoenix Wright and we've got Frank West. If we had Mega Man, then literally everyone I want in the game would be in the game.

In any case, I'm happy.

(Actually, I'd also like Devil Dinosaur, but I don't see that happening.)

I love his "Evidence!" move. I had no idea how they'd make this work when they first announced it, but I'm liking it.

I'm liking the look of it and Maya's application is cute. More than that though I'd like to say I'm looking forward to Phoenix (Jean Grey)/Phoenix ("OBJECTION!" Wright) teams. Just for the confusion that should result in talking about the game in the middle of a match.

His fighting seems very odd, I don't get most of it. Whatever though, the more characters the merrier.

There's nothing wrong with it really, the vs series is made of wackier fighting styles anyway and imo is not meant to be competative not like standard Street Fighter titles.

OT:In any case I'm not getting this iteration of the game, I'm sick of Capcom making numerous versions of the same game and announcing/releasing them just after the original has come out. I'll let them off with Devil May Cry 3 special edition because it was like £10 on release.

He's the only reason i'm buying the game, still a bit sad that they don't use the original Objection! Voice acting (judging by the trailer anyway)

Didn't Capcom fire Phoenix's original english voice actor or something? Meh whatev's i'm still buying it

I hope he has an ultimate move involving an Objection! Battle between Phoenix and Edgeworth which his oppenent just so happens to get stuck in the middle of

It seems pretty unique, I just hope that they balance him well. Too much or too little power would ruin it for me. Although I have always thought that MvC games are usually pretty well balanced in that every character is OP in their own ways.
