now as far as i can see and hear the veiws for R2 are all mixed some say its amazing others say it's not worth it while some say it's only for the multiplayer . let just put some facts down before hearing your views

1.60 player online which is good but if you boil down to it all you really need is to have fun
2. 8 player co-op and seeing the classes and the way you level up ,each class depends on the other one but can it really work?

3. lag now most people say they had no problem but others say they had loads what do you think?

4. yes the single player is bland and the story is weak but is it fun to have all these amazing weapons waiting to be used to destroy horeds of aliens last time i remember that was really fun

5. is it all it's hyped up to be or is it something like assassin's creed

it was great, but there was certain things about the game that just didn't feel right. Controls for one, they were nowhere near as comfy as R1.
R1 was better in my opinion, but not by much.

Single player was moderate. It definetly had worse controls than R1. It's just alright. But multiplyer makes it worth it to me. Which bothers me that some reviewers reviewed without even experiencing 60 player skirmish, because that and 8 player co-op is where the game shines. It feels really epic. Even though in skirmish, you're part of this big 60 player war, your role in your squad is still largely imortant. And in 8 person co-op, again you're role is a huge one. All three classes are pretty crucial, and you have to be conscious of what you're doing constantly or you could lose because someone didn't heal or put up the shield in time.

Insomniac is a safe bet. They've never developed something that wasn't really polished and they aren't afraid to try new things. If there's an issue, it's with the controls and that's balanced somewhat by a significantly lower difficulty in Resistance 2 over Resistance: FOM

I think it is on par with R1, some things are better, some are worse. I would have to say the story is worse, it feels like a more in depth storyline with more character development, but I still prefer the story of the first one. I am interested in where the story will go from here though. As far as weapons are concerned, I had a blast(no pun intended) with each and every one of the new weapons. There were also some tweaks to existing weapons like the Bullseye for what I'm assuming is MP balancing. No huge changes for the enemies of the game. The dog-like Chimera were replaced by the Chameleons, which was a good move IMO, but I feel like we should have encountered more Stalkers and I was disappointed in the apparent disappearance of the Angels.

The real high-point for me is the co-op. I'm having a blast playing as a Spec Ops with my friends. I think the Medic is slightly broken since their healing XP is area effect and the more allies there are the more bloated their XP becomes, but that is my only gripe. The classes have different enough talents and weapons to really be unique and specialized, but at the same time every class has something to offer to their allies and that is refreshing in an FPS.
