Your thread getting stolen?

Recently I've noticed that many of my threads are being stolen(kinda). When I think of them at school or on the train I come home to find the exact same thread in the "Hot Threads" section. Just yesterday I thought, ok, I'm going to do a thread about who has the best avatar on The Escapist. Today, I see the exact same thread.

Just to make things clear, I am not accusing the person who created that thread of anything. I just find this extremely weird. It's happened to me five times already. Has it happened to you?

I tried searching but the only results were "Stolen Pixels" comics.

Great minds think alike, I suppose.

And no, this hasn't happened to me. I don't make threads very often.

Obviously your ideas aren't unique and creative enough to the point that only you can think of them.

Be more creative now!

Someone is obviously stalking you.

Or it could be that other people just think the same way and don't bother searching to see if the thread has already been done.

The reason your search turned up Stolen Pixel comics is because you used the "Search the Escapist" bar in the upper right.

Thats not the search function.

Go here and search.

OT: Not so much on the threads, but i find that if i learn something, or hear about something new, all of a sudden, its everywhere.

To be honest, the "Who has the best Avatar" Thread has been done like 40 times since I joined 11 months ago and it proably won't be the last one I see.

I don't create threads for some reason and I don't ever really plan to. So I don't get these "My idea was stolen" feelings that you have.

Yes, I made a thread about The Saboteur, called 'The Saboteur' and someone made another thread with the exact same title and subject matter two days later. They even used to damn searchbar! What on Earth did they put in?

So I linked my thread and set things straight.

Yep, it sometimes does.

Thankfully, you can yell 'Search Bar' to make you feel better.
You are the culprit here, therefore not welcome!

Still didn't find anything, but maybe I'm just wording it strange.
