your time on the escapist

So it's my 1000th post and I thought of this topic for a while, what has your time on the escapist been like? What to you normally to? Any highlights?

For my time has been good most people on the escapist are smart, nice and funny. I normally watch videos but I to post a fair amount an average of 3 or 4 posts a day. My highlight has to be when I won an argument about games being art using only logic and pointing out how his insults were pointless.

My highlights were probably the joke-addled Holiday Council, my participation in the Escapist Elections, and LordHarrab's Fleet Command: War of the Void Role-Play. But the most interesting times have been on well founded Off-Topic discussion that's full of rational and well considered opinions, however rare those may be. This one exempt I joke, this looks like a cool topic.

I post in the games alot, met quite a few nice people because of it.

The escapist CAN be very entertaining and informative, but it does go through it's "phases". It goes from annoying threads and repeats to being plain old offensive. I also think that most escapists are over emotional and "jaded"! Even though their live isn't even that bad!

My time on this site has been quite good. I enjoy pretty much every minute I've wasted spent on here. The people I know are fun to babble with, the community is mostly polite, and things are good here.
I'm normally in the forum games, though I've been trying to pop out more lately.
I'd have to say my highlights were <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.115879-The-Fatality-Game?page=3>my 8,000 post milestone, hitting 20,000 posts first, and meeting all my pals.

Ever since I got here I love posting because most topics on this site I can relate to. I always seem to have things to talk about.

The web page is always open as well when my computer is on, and some people on here are funny. Some are not but I try to ignore them

I love the Escapist, especially the forums most of the time ALL OF THE TIME, YEAH!

I don't comment as much as I used to so I doubt I've made an imapct or anything but its still fun.

Its been all joyful for me. Been here for awhile and I've never been more happier. People here are all polite and fun and reading some of the posts here is one of my favorite thing to do.

Only highlights I can remember is my 5000 post celebration/birthday celebration and receiving positive feedback during one of the t shirt contests.

Congratz on staying on here for so long!
I like it here, I think it's a lot of similarly minded people getting together, so it goes without saying that they're smart, funny attractive and just generally better people than the people who aren't members here.
Honestly, it's been fun. in November I had been here exactly one year, and I had a lot of fun in that time. The highlight for me has been the times I made a topic and someone working on or for the escapist posted in them.. and also making friends with new and interesting people. (can't say I've seen you around though; OP...)
I think I'll take this opportunity to thank everyone on the escapist for making my life just a little for funny, smart and awesome.

Anyway, my accomplishments? Well I wrote a long Fable 2 review. But thats not that big, anyone can write a review.

I have survived 2 March Mayhems though. I'd say thats a pretty big accomplishment.

Well, I'm coming up on a year(damn time goes by fast). Makes me realize I wish I joined this site years ago. It's a waste of time posting here, but it's been worth every minute. Yeah, I could be doing something more productive, but when you find a site as fun as this one, everything else takes a backseat.

There have been plenty, when I formed The Spanish Inquisition [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Spanish-Inquisition], when I first joined IRC [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/88224-escapist-IRC], when Yahtzee answered my questions in a QA and when I signed up to be a moderator.

Nowadays you can find me lounging around certain user groups and the IRC while I plot evil evil things and zap trolls and anyone who annoys people. Congratz on 1000 posts by the way, hope to see you around.
