My father is an insufferable, racist moron. Eg he refused to let me go to London on a school trip because of ?All the foreigners? and was apparently disgusted by the school for arranging such an ?unhealthy trip?. Unfortunately I grew up with him and he was and still is like that towards anyone who?s different from him or who won?t benefit him in some way. I?m glad to say I?m nothing like him and this is one of the many reasons why we haven?t spoken for years.
Another example was when I was in a café and I offered a black coffee. I was given a shouted and sworn at by a total stranger who told me ?YOU HAVE TO COFFEE WITHOUT MILK! NOT BLACK COFFEE!!? the funny thing was the guy who was severing me was black and had no problem with me. I just told her to fuck off and mind her own business.

Have you ever met anyone who was racist. Not just joking, but actually a racist person? If so, what have they said or done? How did you react? Tell us.
Well my step dad still uses the word coon and my brother supports the BNP so that would be a yes.

Homophobes piss me off. I'm straight; but I grew up with and work with gays, and they've always been fun to be around. As for racism, I've never encountered it. Openly, anyway. Maybe it's because I'm such a Heinz 57, nobody can pin down exactly WHAT race I am.

I went on vacation to the coast and had to laugh. I dyed my hair blond before trip, and the innkeeper asked my friend after I left the lobby what part of Europe I was from. For some reason, whenever I dye my hair blond, it makes my skin look really pale.

I think I just need more sun.

There's a guy in my sister's form who openly claims to hate white people, and sits in class chanting "America's the devil".

I don't know many overt racists. I live in Metro Detroit, which has more race issues than I can describe, but my friends are mostly secret racists. They think they're not, but they all hold racist attitudes and are completely blind to even the most basic knowledge of race in American society and blame every single problem minority groups suffer on their own lack of a work ethic. These are mostly the friends of mine who were smart enough to get into college but refused or failed out due to their own sloth and will probably be common laborers forever. My friends at school are much more open-minded.

The friends from home like to drop the n-bomb at times, which is a good way for me to kick you out of my house. I have a black uncle. I do not take kindly to the n-word.

I had two friends who were extremely openly racist, and I finally let off. One of them started talking about how Africans look down on black American culture, and I exploded, refused to give him a chance to talk anymore, and silenced him. I think the two of them used racism and anti-religious sentiment to vent the rage of the suffering they've endured at the hands of their families...but I find that excuse to be weak.

I find it particularly amusing when I meet the European or Australian counterparts of my racist friends from home.

Man I must be playing on the racist servers when I play games, Diablo was always funny seeing a game name like "No Jews Allowed" or "See Description" game where the description would be "Goddamn Mexicans Took Our Jobs", you really have to wonder how this gets past Blizzard aside from the fact it's an old game now and they don't care about it.

I think Counter-Strike is one of the worst, though my cousin has had everything from the N word to "I hope you get cancer and die" from MK vs. DC, added that these were all kids aged 14 or under.

For some reason when people get angry they jump right to racism, why they get angry at a game is a mystery to me, and why everyone jumps to racism I could not begin to fathom.

I also agree that it is strange those white people get picked on and called whatever but when they strike back it's either a bullet between the eyes or jail time(I wish I was kidding Canada is funny).

I don't know if anyone i know is actually rascist, but a lot of people who i am acquanted with but i wouldn't really call 'friends' have a habit of using "Jew" or "Muslim" as an insult, which winds me up. But hey, i know most of them well enough to know it's probabley because its ingrained in their heads as an insult, hell i still use "Gay" as a curse word, even though im actually a supporter of Gay rights.

One person i was reasonably friendly with actually walked up to me the day after the incident in London with the Muslim anti-war extremist protests and said "So, are you going to join me in burning some muslims after they burnt those poppies?". I literally lost it and started shouting at him for about a minute. Then there was just stunned silence and, oddly, an applause. I havent really talked to that guy again.

One of my friends has some slightly nationalistic tendencies, and is also a very conservative christian in his beliefs. He's a very nice guy though, and he really only criticizes how our country deals with immigration and says it should be very limited. Never heard him talk about race or how minorities bother him.

Although another one of my friends tells me he's a reformed neo-nazi and while he's still got some of that stuff in his head, he's slowly abandoning views like that.

Dont know anyone really racist personally, but there are a few people I know of that are outspoken racists.

I know a girl who hated Muslims because of the stereotypes in the media and her Christian upbringing. She's "reformed" now.

My friend doesn't really like Asians, but it's more because the ones he knows are kind of obnoxious(they are) and the whole culture barrier. He's fairly reasonable about it.

That's all I know of for sure, though there are some people I have suspicions of.
