I love flash games. Quick, free and sometimes very innovative, they are the light refreshing snack of the gaming world.
Here's a list of my top 3 favorite browser-based flash games and why they're my favs. (In no particular order)
1. Street Fighter: Legend of Ansatsuken
A very faithful take on Ryu and Ken's (and yea verily, the entire SF universe's) origins, in a rpg/strategy package. Unlike it's namesake titles, this isn't a fighting game in the most famous sense. It's a turn based strategy game, with timed inputs using direction keys for attacks. Positioning your fighter is equally important, because at close range, you can use more attacks in one go, while at long distance, you can only enter one. It's quite deep and as a bonus, is in complete cannon with the SF universe.

2. Toss the Turtle
It's the perennial launch game. Humor, great artwork and addicting game play make this tongue-through-cheek game one of my favorite time wasters. You basically have to launch your turtle out of a cannon for max distance, avoiding obstacles (or perhaps hitting them on purpose for more airtime). There are badges to collect for accomplishing certain tasks, like achieving 5 miles in distance or stomping on 25 goomba-like mushrooms. As you progress, you earn money for more distance, which allows you to purchase things like a bigger cannon, a rocket to strap to your turtle or even nukes for that little extra oopmh.

3. The Last Stand 2
The second installment of this series offers many improvements over the first iteration. In Last Stand, you are a survivor of a zombie apocalypse and must travel across the country to a safe zone, scrounging for supplies and other survivors along the way. Part strategy, part action, it's all good, gory zombie fun.

Now, with all that out of the way, what are some of your favorite flash games?
