1. Pokemon Blue/Gold, both great games, clocked 80 hours into each as a kid.
2. Halo:CE, my first FPS, great level design and epic story.
3. Fallout 3. Addictive, massive map, but a crap ending. Bought it again (the GOTY) just for the DLC.
Also Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed 2, CoD 4, Batman: Arkham Asylum and GTA IV have been the other single-player hightlights of this generation.

Ocarina of Time (it's a classic, and everything about it is as perfect as you could get on the 64), Metroid Prime (the atmosphere, the exploration, and all the extra shit you could scan made this a great game), and Paper Mario TTYD (bet you didn't see this one coming. This is the best RPG I've ever played with it's clever writing and immersive battle system, plus the obscene amount of stuff there is to do).

This thead just made me realize all of my first five favorite games are single player... yeah what that say about me, any way!
1: OKAMI
Your running around as a demi-god lesbian wolf that uses it tail as a paintbrush to use spell, fighting of uniquely designed demons and boss monsters in a very well realized world with some good side questing and item to collect. All I can say is Whats not to like?
2: Shadow of the Colossus
We have all played it and im getting tired of typing about it here, and if you haven't played it check it out.

Im not an RTS guy but I LOVE this game the challenges the personal challenges and the strangeness of it all makes it fun to play over and over and over again.
