1. X-COM: UFO Defense (Enemy Unknown to some players)
2. The Civilization francise (Played since the first one in '91)
3. Uhhhmmm.... Probably Mass Effect 2
It's a bit arbitrary, though. I don't really make much of a distinction between my favorite games. What's the point in comparing Etrian Odyssey, Majora's Mask and Starfox 64 for example? They are different games and I like all of them.
It's really hard to just pick 3 games since my taste in videogames tend to shift from one day to the other and my current favorites are hard to compare to the ones of ye olden days. Which are still awesome and fun games to play, but that might just be nostalgia speaking. So I've decided to post my 3 favorites split into 3 time periods.
Current:
1. Mass Effect 2 / Dragonage 2 (aka the great-bioware-sequel-tie)
2. Twilight Princess
3. Gran Turismo 5
The Golden era: (2002-2006 aka the time when I had time)
1. Kotor
2. Half-life 2 w. Gmod
3. Gran Turismo 4
The Good ol' days (-2002)
1. LoZ: a link to the past
2. Donkey Kong Country 2
3. Operation Flashpoint: Cold war crisis
Honorary mentions: Ocarina of time, Wind waker and Gran Turismo 2 didn't have the money for those consoles back then. (recently fixed)
Top 3? That's gonna be impossible... top 5, maybe, but not 3
So yeah here's my 5:
Final Fantasy IX
Zelda: Wind Waker
Pokemon Blue
Kingdom Hearts
Resident Evil 4
(Honorary mention: Mass Effect 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Fallout 3)
1. Portal
2. The Sims 2
3. GTA IV
Portal is simply briliant and I cant wait for part two, The Sims is briliant because it lets you play God, and GTA is briliant because of being able to do anything you want to do when ever jou want to do it.
1. Tales of the Abyss
2. Need for Speed Carbon
3. Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut
Funny now that I look at the list my favorite games are all on older consoles. Of course there was more unique games then and I hate playing games that are alike.
I know a lot of these games are going to get me some flaming, particularly because I think Twilight Princess was better than Ocarina of Time. HATE COMMENTS COMMENCE!!
