All these games are on the PC:
1. Mass Effect Trilogy
Now I hate the ME3 ending as much as the next man. However the story leading up to that was just full of non-stop epicness. Great story, interesting characters, some of the most memorable moments I've ever seen and just an absolutely incredible game despite the infamous ending.
2. The Elder Scrolls 3,4,5
It was Morrowind that receives special credit here. It was the first game I ever properly played. It just blew me away. I probably spent well over a year of gameplay on it because there was little else I did play. I still played it when oblivion came out. Anyhow, Oblivion and Skyrim are both fantastic games and deserves a place in the top five list but it's Morrowind which will always have a special place in my heart.
3. Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Now I've never finished this game, (and I'll probably never will) but the reason it's one of my top five is because it does what it's designed to do, and that was to scare the hell out of you, and it does it so damn well.
4. Assassin's Creed Games: I'm not sure why I like Assassin's Creed so much I mean, the characters aren't particularly interesting, the plot is INCREDIBLY confusing and the gameplay, although extensive, is fairly lacking. So why do I like it you ask? I guess it's the challenge (Though I use that term loosely. I am very aware about AC2's difficulty). The planning of achieving your objectives and the many ways one can do so. I do not know, all I know is that all the Assassin's Creed games are great and I can't wait for AC3.
5. Portal and Portal 2: Not much I can say about these two. The most different games I have ever played and so well executed and so well rounded they were just overall really fun games to play. And to top it off GLADOS sings a song at the end, genius.
