GBA
Pitfall: Mayan Adventure
I could never beat that game, but I cherish it because it was one of the last things my grandfather gave me. Still have it with my GBA.

I've never owned a games console, so I'll instead give the first thing I actually played through in an emulator under Windows.

Spyro The Dragon in a PS1 emulator.

Why so late? Well, the previous computer was only a 33MHz 486, so that should go a fair way towards explaining why I wasn't emulating console games before 2000.

Odyssey 2 as a hand me down, then an NES. The first had a lot of games and I never bought one, the second came with Mario/Duck Hunt.

PS1, Spyro the Dragon. Best game ever.

Side note: My captcha reads "should fisheend". I feel like it wants me to do something, but I don't know what a fisheend is. I suspect that it is some kind of fish-related monster, though.

NES was my first console for sure but the first game I had for it was probably Mario/Duck Hunt.

Well, the first console I had was an N64, but I was more than content to watch my brother and mother play it.

The first game I ever played was Skies of Arcadia: Legends on the gamecube

Well, it depends on what you call a console. When it comes to a console in the strictest sense of the word, the first was the NES and Super Mario Brothers. I was.... 5, maybe.

In the "computers that play games" category, my first would be a Commodore 64, and I was 3 years old when I started playing that, and have no idea what the first game was I popped in and played. Games for the C64 aren't quite as stand-out-ish as early NES games were, and I had a crapload of games for it.

Sega Mega Drive was my first console. It included seven games (Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Revenge of Shinobi, Super HangOn, Columns, World Cup Italia 90 and Sonic The Hedgehog). Best Christmas ever! Sonic was the first game i played that night.
