In Physics my class got distracted for over an hour on computers and how they have changed. Then there was 10 minutes on computer games. This ended with the teacher proclaiming that now we have English Literature and Film Studies, he thinks it is only a matter of time till we will have to learn about video games as they are rapidly becoming as much an art form as films. This got me thinking of possible essay ot project titles, or exam questions. Then I turned it into something similar to the 'above avatar' threads.

Short version!

You post an essay title, project title or exam/text book question related to games. You MUST be able to answer it your self (ie. played the game in question). The person below you has to post whether they could answer it (Yes/No) if they were given it tomorrow in class. This then continues.

I'll start with an my post.

'The death of Gaz and the detonation of the bomb in Call of Duty 4 is used to make the player character hate the antagonist in a way they did not hate any of the 'goons'. Discuss the effectiveness of this.'

I'm already writing a 10000 word dissertation relating the literay theories of Postmodernism, Feminism and Post-Colonialism/Race theory to videogames.

The title itself is something along the lines of:

"Argue the academic significance of videogames with direct reference to established literary theory."

Yum Yum Yum.

And no I could not answer your question because I do not play COD.

Yeah, but you didn't post an essay. Unless yours was "Argue the academic significance of videogames with direct reference to established literary theory." in which case I could probably answer it. Would only get a C or B- but I coould do it.

If anyone posts after this then go with my first one...

Probably not.

Here's mine:

The use of music in Okami adds emotional depth to the story sequences in a way that could not be achieved without it. Discuss.

Nah. I've never heard of the game. If it was for HALO or CoD then maybe.

Paralels can be drawn between the late Western Roman Empire and the Tamrielic empire at the time of TES IV: Oblivion.
