So me and some friends are planning to get together and do an old-fashioned LAN party. Besides the other issues (who gets what chair/table/TV etc.), we also decided what food we were going to bring (we found out early on that variety is for the best so we never get anything that someone else is getting).

Personally, I prefer anything that's sweet and/or spicy, or has chocolate on it. I also like to try new food. Here's some of my gaming munchies:
- chocolate spread and bread
- single-serve candy (I love Reese's cups)
- sandwitches (anything with meat, cheese and lettuce)
- energy drinks (Monster)
- Mountain Dew (Red Alert)
- Chinese fast food (pork fried rice, egg-drop soup)

So, Escapists, what's on your munchies list? Name any kind of food and drink.

Several bottles of V and a nice roast chicken. That keeps me going through the night.

For drink, I prefer either soda or water.

For snacks, candy, chips, and pretzels. That's usually it.

Not sure if you're legal drinking age or not, but I find a case of beer everyone likes usually goes over pretty well. As far as food goes, I usually go with a pizza, although if I feel like going all out, I've been known to get steak skewers.

I'm probably alone in this, but... I just can't eat/snack while I play a game. It's something that I just seem physically incapable of. When I get hungry, I pause the game or leave a round to go make myself something to eat.

Then return to playing.

Now if only I wasn't so crap at throwing things away in a quick and timely manner

You need to discover the wonders of Kirby Air Ride.

1-handed 4-player cluster-fuck mayhem.

It makes it really easy to play with the left hand, and chow down on pizza, chips, and whatever else with the right.

For solo gaming, though, I usually prefer chips or crackers. Something small and easily munchable during a loading screen.

A medium thin crust, light on the sauce with peperoni from Pizza Hut, three two liters of Dr. Pepper, a few Linzer Torte, and a slim jim.

Usually depends on what's around the house, but I'd usually go for salt and vinegar or Doritos Cool Ranch chips, some Pepsi/Dr. Pepper, and popcorn on select games.

My palette ranges from cups of teas to cider, pizza to shepards pie, wine gums to...a pack of ready to roll icing...without the cake. Yes I wonder how my teeth still exist too.

Your not alone, although I do need some form of energy drink if it's an all nighter. Best thing I find is home brand cola. Just enough caffine to keep you going and get 1.2 litre bottles for 85 cents Australian.
