I played the 2 week trial and was having a merry time reliving Diablo II days. During the second week I came across a group of people getting married in-game. When I asked them what was going on, I was yelled at for being a n00b and that obviously they were getting married.

I uninstalled the game and installed Diablo II.
ha, i've never seen people get married in wow, then again i play horde

i played wow for about 2 years and had alot of different things happen, i think most the gamer community has atleast tryed wow, i want to know how it effected your life as a gamer , and if it didn't don't post a comment saying it didnt
well my experience is good with WOW the only thing i cant stand is the retarded Alliance getting completely recked on every battle field by the horde because of a small thing called grouping. Its rreally the only thing that pisses me off about tha game

I played the free trial, and mostly enjoyed the time I spent playing it...but when it was over, I couldn't help but feel like I'd just wasted a shitload of time. I see the charm, and I understand why people play it, but for me, it just didn't feel like it was worth it.

One day after 3 years of playing I said to myself. I just wasted to much of my life.
Time spent having fun is not time spent wasted.

Started playing when the game first came out, started on a normal server. All of my friends started on a PvP server and powerleveled up as soon as they could. I moved servers but none of them would make new characters/help me out. It got a little boring, eventually my subscription expired and I didn't renew it, deciding to buy game cards instead. I didn't have much moolah though, so I decided to stop for awhile. Eventually after a 2 month hiatus I bought a new card... and played for maybe 2-4 hours before not having fun anymore and quitting the game permanently.

Yes, this. I have stopped playing due to incessant ganking and ZERO progress around my thirties. Finally my highest char ever was lvl 42. That was good enough for me so I quit.

I'm biased, but I feel like posting anyway. When I tried WoW, I liked it. It was fun going around dicing random NPCs into oblivion. I quickly became bored walking to the next part of the game. I swiftly decided not to bother anymore and that getting this game was not for me.
Recently I...err...'acquired' the game again. Still wouldn't play it, and haven't played it since I put it on my computer. I was bored in the first hour of playing it again.

I always quit, because my guild at the time is always struggling

and then when I quit, they always take off like a rocket and are doing all the things I wanted to do.

After 9 months of it, i accidentally deleted my main.

While waiting for him to be restored, i rolled a new mage. When i realized that there is no difference between 1 and 60, its all the same shit, i just uninstalled it that very day. Went out, came back inside and made a sandwich.

Just because i quit WoW don't mean i'm going outside more, i already ride every morning.

Affected me as a Gamer? Made me more suspicious of what i am paying for, potential time and skill requirements and helps me avoid gimmick games or those that exploit my apathy. Because i have a lot of apathy.

First played it for half a year, got bored, stopped

then for 3 months, then stopped

time i play keeps getting smaller and smaller until it was just 1 month. Now i never play, sometimes i feel the urge too but i can fight it off by playin oblivion or somethin.
