Share your worst New Year's Eve with us at the Escapist! Since it is nearly time ( for us in the Southern Atmosphere its almost time!!!!!!! ) and I'm having my worst so why don't you share yours? I'll share mine right now:

HIgh School Musical:3+ House Of People Full Of " TELEVISOIN AND VIDEO GAMES ARE BAD FOR YOU RA RA RA!"+ No computer for approx. 2 hours ( stuck with HSM3 and my NDS:Lite. ) = One very sad boy

So share yours! I'm not pessimistic but it comes to my mind right now because I'm still in mine.

When I was, I think, 12, my parents gave me a few too many glasses of champagne and orange juice, and I beat fable while drunk. It sounds good, but being drunk as a 4 foot 6 95 pound kid is no fun.

Last year. Drove with my folks East, but we got off to a late start on New Year's Eve. We crossed over from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time around 11:30 CST/12:30 EST, so technically we missed New Year's. I honestly expected some sort of wormhole to open up in the middle of the interstate or to be stuck in a Twilight Zone episode.

I'm overseas, I forgot to install COD4 on my laptop, my xbox HDMI cable isnt compatible to the sony TV here and i didnt bring my other cable, my parents and sister have been yelling at each other for the past hour and half and throwing things around the room and i have a bloody headache.

Almost all of them before this year. I had to watch my father get drunk, and thus loose the little respect I had for him completely. I spend one of my New Years Eve in WoW, in retrospective, that was pathetic.

Plenty of times I would've loved to do that, let the whole New Year spiel go by. I mean, it's not that I care, my New Year starts on my birthday obviously, this is just arbitrary. Sadly the fireworks always kept me from sleeping anyway.

Ouch. It's still pretty early in the day for me, but I'm going round to a friends so it'll be a pretty average new year. Last years was awesome, I went to the Aagrah, I had lots of curries.

Every year. All i do is hang around at my nana's drinkin wine and watching the countdown on t.v. This year i find myself once again abandoned by my friends whom most will be going out to parties without thinking to invite me, and i even find out someone else close to me is also going out, though he says he doesn't want to at least he will be with his best friend. Unlike me who will be once again sitting bored, tired and feeling more like smashing windows with my bare fists would be more entertaining.

About 2 and a half hours left in AUS.
Mine would be the last 2 years and this years.
I fuckng hate New Years Eve, if someone says Happy New Year to me I'm going to hurt them.

I would like to know why its horrible. Hence the thread. Maybe Austrailian Pest infestation?

We had just moved to a new house. New to us, as the house was well over 100 years old, and close to the ocean. So, no phone, no cable, and no friends to speak of. It was only my mother and I at the time.

There was a huge windstorm. My mother went out for New Years Eve, and left me by myself. So, I had nothing to do (this was before I had my PS1 but after someone lost my SNES).

There were rumours that the place was haunted (whether or not you believe in that stuff, it can still be a little unsettling), and I spent the entire night lying in bed listening to the wind howl off the ocean and around the house. It went right through the attic and I could feel the house move, and it felt like the whole place was about to blow over like a house of cards. Happy Freakin' New Year indeed.

Nope, like most of my Birthdays I'm sitting alone in my room, while or my friends go out and do shit without inviting me.
