Zombies are my number one fear, second being getting struck by lightning.

Fortunately, I think I'll only need to stick with my friends to get through it. We're all pretty much prepared to stake-out a Wal-Mart. Though, an Escapist-funded shelter would be a great idea...

Id be pretty screwed we dont have gun shops. I guessed Id go into the army barracks steal a crapload of riot gear or body armour. Get a few guns then take an APC. Then I guess Id go to like a church or something with a vantage point. Find as many survivors preferably Mila Jovovich and that Michelle Rodriguez from the first RE movie then wed have some zombie killing fun. Once the zombies are all gone, JACKPOT!

Come to think of it how do half the Zombies in all those movie even manage to move at all?
Once a muscle has begun to break down it couldn't possibly hold weight,stabilize or operate at all.
Seems to me the 'zombies' from 28 Days were more realistic.Less walking dead,more driven to insane rage with all bodily functions and blood flow.How a sack of meat can be a threat without blood flow is puzzeling.

i like to think that we escapists will survive, because (as gamers) we are much more intelligent than the other meat creatures lying around.

Not a direct quote of the leader of the Red team, but I do have 99 plans that all work together for 1 super plan and my plan involves girls lots of them and killing someone I hate who I will find as soon as it starts and my friends will get together and live in the loft with lots of food or go to Alaska where the cold will freeze the zombies and here is the best one we pretend to be zombies!

Grab non-infected family and friends, supplies, and head out on a boatinto the ocean. Also take much fishing gear to replenish foodstuffs. After all, it's not like rotting flesh does so well in water. It tends to sink.

If it were a last man on earth scenario I would hold out at the top of one of those freeway billboards with a sledge hammer, machetti, ice pick and a lot of rope. If attacked by zombies I could defend the ladder pretty easily with the hammer and use the machetti and ice pick as backup weapons. I think guns would attract more zombies than they would kill. I could also mark the billboard as a safe haven that could be seen from the freeway so I could meetup with any survivors traveling the freeway.

Otherwise I would bunker down with any survivors I could find and try to organize a Macdoneian style phalanx.

Currently out in the country. If there was a zombie invasion, we'd be too far away to probably experience the initial outburst. Me and the rest of the people in Aldbrough would probably be fine for a week or so, but would run short on food - so we would have to drive to the nearest supermarket, again away from the city. We'd last for a long time and the whole thing would probably blow over.

If I had to head into the city (read: Hull), I'd head to the soul-gunshop and steal a few shotguns (assuming it hadn't already been raided or left locked up). Then I'd nick a boat from the docks and head off towards mainland Europe. My brother has two proper katanas and there is a shotgun locked up in my attic, so they're both options. Plus we got axes and spades.

While I would try to get in contact with friends, my plan would probably involve not having a plan. Basic improvisation of wherever I would be and whatever would be around me. In theory, the less rigid the plan would involve a lot more flexibility. Thus, this would increase the chances for survival over the long run of the situation.

At least, I would hope that works. 'Cause I don't know about y'all, but I would surely have quite a bit of initial panic time. If I can overcome that initial panic and fear, I should relatively be better off at surviving for some length of time. I'd avoid most anybody else, though. I'd panic, but I'd be panicking in a way that would have some degree of common sense.

If I'm in the US, and even better, Washington D.C. when there is a zombie outbreak, I will try, and I will succeed.

Since I'm Dutch and we don't have guns here, I think it's most likely that I will get murdered.

However, here's my strategy (might as well try and make it out alive): arm myself with a long, heavy metal rod of some kind (bladed weapons might get stuck), find a nimble vehicle capable of going off road like a dirtbike (cars are useless since all the roads will be jammed), get some canned food and water and make my way to one of the Northern islands [http://www.aa-nederland.nl/images/groepen/nederland19.gif] asap. The north of the Netherlands are very thinly populated and the people are kind and reasonable so there's a chance that the ferry will still be operational. If not, many Frisians have a boat of some kind and I'm sure that they'll be reasonable enough to see the merits of my plan.

I dunno, I live in Britain so I'm probably fucked as there are no Guns here but then again I could always go hide in the wilderness that is Northumberland.
