My personal best: Wave 36 Solo on Kino Der Toten.
Strategy:
-Fucking run, and run in one direction.
-Once you break Wave 25, hit the teleporter to upgrade a gun every round.
-If a gun runs out of ammo, trade it immediately for another gun even if the empty one was upgraded. A gun without rounds is useless.
-Keep a shotgun handy ALL THE TIME and only use it to shoot things that appear in front of you.
-Get use to a lack of pickups after Wave 20. You won't have time to go back and get them.
-If you have a Stakeout/Raid, Double Tap is your friend.
-Buy the Quick Revive immediately in Solo. You never know what kind of luck you'll have.
-Bodyshots are the best. You'll need the points so you can upgrade guns.
-Claymores. Claymores everywhere.
