You 2010 whippersnapper you.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my brother's homebrew beer, I guess that was something good. I also bought a Cookie Monster onesie, because I am just that stylish.
You December whippersnapper you.

To be more on topic... I dunno. Nothing particularly good or bad has been happening recently. I've kept surprisingly positive about the abrupt end to my relationship about a month ago so that's a good thing.
I've managed to keep my job held down when a lot of other people are getting fired and I've got my expenses under control too.

Been playing The Showdown Effect too. It's fun.

Well, I'm pretty stoked by the fact that I'm playing a gig on Wednesday - I've got two bands playing it, so I'm gonna be utterly destroyed by the end of it but it'll be worth it for the rush and because I'll be on stage again after about 2 years of not being on stage.

Also, I just finished translating some 12th century Viking texts, and that always makes me feel like I've accomplished something, so that's good.

Finally: Vault, I get exactly what you were saying about that other thread. It's a shame that so many people think so poorly of these forums. I mean, there's always been cynicism and misery here, but seeing it all lumped together was a bit sad. Still, cheers for a happy thread! :D

I discovered I had an internet addiction, which may sound awful, but now I can take steps to cut back. This is part of my 3 hours a day, and I'm actually feeling so much better.

I recently finished watching all 6 episodes of Black Mirror one after the other. I don't know if I'll ever not feel depressed again.

Don't have carpet for him to pee on, thank God. Though maybe it would've been worth it just to quote The Big Lebowski.
"I mean, it's not just about the rug, man..."
"Yeah man, it really tied the room together!"
Fuckin' nihilists. Say what you will about National Socialism, Dude, but at least it was an ethos!
"And let's not forget, Dude. Let's not forget... That keeping amphibious rodents within the city... That ain't legal either."
We should probably stop, or this will go on all day and completely derail the thread :p
Hey, this effects all of us, man! It's our basic freedom!!!

I'm staying! I'm finishing my quotes...

...

*sigh~* Enjoying my quotes.

As for the images, you're actually wrong there. I've always had to type in [ img src = *Insert pic link here* ] with the spaces removed of course. Every time I see an image link that doesn't work, they did exactly what you did.
I decided to do a SCIENCE and test this. Without further ado,

[image src=http://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large/the-screaming-heron-40d10802-wingsdomain-art-and-photography.jpg]

So according to SCIENCE, both methods are perfectly acceptable.

The more you knoooooow!
That's quite interesting, actually. Seems a little redundant to have two methods of doing the exact same thing, though.

I actually do plan to cosplay next year, New Dante.
HATERS GONNA HATE.
...
And because I don't have the physique or hair color/style to pull off Old Dante.
And yeah, I ENJOYED DMC.
I really like DMC AND new dante
Well aint that ironic, the new DmC leaved me incredibly depressed cause I hated just about everything about it feeing like I wasted 5 hours of my life missing Uncle Dante so.
The good news is I eventually got my hands MGR Revengeance and had the most fun I've ever had with a hack n slash since Bayonetta. Now I feel as gitty as a school girl.

Also I got a raise at work, and a date with a friend of mine that was a ton of fun. :)

OT: Torno, don't be surprised if Uncle Dante cosplays want to take pictures of them shooting you in the face with their ebonys and their ivorys. ^_^

I've been here for a long time and, for a while, I felt the same way that jaded escapist did. However, a year ago or so I realized that, while it may be true that there was a slight shift in forum topic focus, the forums themselves haven't changed much. There are a few less assholes, which is both bad and good. The real change, though, isn't with the site or its forum. The change is with me. I'm entertained by different things than I was when I joined in 08, I'm bored when topics come up that I've ranted about on here a thousand times over, and I'm no longer a part of the majority demographic on this site. The escapist community didn't change and leave me, I changed and left it (mostly).

As for something happy, I just bought PS+ and am gonna go home and enjoy some free vanquish tonight. Good times.

For my happiness for today ...

My parents came back from their vacation.
I start University as I just said.
I have tomorrow off from said University.
I finished the anime "Mirai Nikki".

And I have started a new RP.

Yay, I get a Boost. Is that the original Boost bar, back before some dickbag fucked with the recipe and made them all shit and powdery? If so, I am a happy Waffle.
thx bro
No no, thank you for my gift of chocolatey goodness!

(also, a tip for the future: when quoting someone, always ensure that the top part of the quote - the bit that looks like ["quote = Sonicwaffle blah blah blah"] - is included. That way it'll send a PM to them letting them know you've responded. If I hadn't been trawling this thread anyway, because I am a sad and lonely chap, I would never have even seen your reply and that would have been upsetting for me)

My wife and I went on a date, saw Wreck-it-Ralph at the Cinebarre (second-run theater with a bartender), had a great fucking time. I got home, picked up El Shaddai for $2.99 off of XBL and it's pretty fun. I love games that try new things and at the very worst it at least looks gorgeous. Oh, and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that I'm glad that Vault101 frequents here.
I just threw down a spare three bucks I had lying around, and I'm pretty sure I've had more entertainment from it already than I have with a game since X-Com launched back in October.
