If you feel brave enough to put it up here on the Escapist website, what was a dream that you always had when you were little, or even older, that you might have achieved or you might have benched for a while to look after your life and make sure you get by. And is what you do now similar to what your dream was? And I'll go too, cause you can't ask something then not answer it.
When I was little I used to want to write fantasy novels, long ones reminiscent of Lord of the Rings or Eragon (don't think I think their similar, they are very different books), and I wrote a few, but I never did anything about it and they've kind of gone to the side at the moment, which I feel bad about but I re-read them every so often.
However, now-a-days I write television shows, so maybe that's the same thing, but I always wanted to see a novel with my name on it, sometimes seeing my name in the credits is good but I think about a book cover.

I always wanted to be an archeologist growing up. I went to Uni, picked up an Anthropology major... and everything went to hell.

Apparently my heart didn't bleed enough. Anthro teachers are so liberal that even suggesting that cultures are being assimilated out of existance because some of them are too rigid and primitive to be viable is heresy.

Basically, I realized that the entire purpose of that entire school is now to make excuses for human failings and stupidity.

I still want to do a bit of traveling and being immersed in other cultures, but at the moment it's manifesting as a desire to serve in the Peace Corps for a few years.

It's funny, because I wanted to be an archaeologist too, and still sort of do. I guess I'm curious about the world and different cultures. Unfortunately I don't really see myself becoming an archaeologist anymore. I don't really know what I want to do now actually, maybe become a chief? I like to cook and different types of food are great ways to experience different cultures.

Challenge accepted!I'm brave enough.

I dreamt of living life like a nomad and selling art. I still do, but not as nomad-ish.

I want to become a well-known film maker. Not like super famous Hollywood producer, but someone who can show up to Sundance and be recognized. I've been doing things locally for a while but I don't have any connections, so I'm basically screwed.

I want a job as an aerospace engineer.
Achievementwise, I want to go to space. Not that crappy space-tourism either, I wanna be a goddamn astronaut- the kind of person the government sees as worth spending $10,000 per ounce of me being launched into orbit. I want to represent the pride of a nation, not some sweepstakes winner.

Being a corrupt God Emperor which people trembled before in admiration and fear?
Younger than that I wanted to be a cat so I could be a total dick and get away with it.
As for now I'm more mature, now I just want to destroy humanity and replace it with a superior species that is artificially created that shall praise me as their god... Still immature, unrealistic and silly, but a man can dream, can't he? A man can dream...

That is roughly my dream. I don't want to be an uber celebrity, but just a known name (think Neveldine/Taylor)
