A friend at work got me into some pretty chill bands. I'm looking for music similar to the kinds posted in the links below. If you don't like/listen to this kind of music feel free to post links to music you enjoy.

[Ratatat] - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64liF2VuLxI

[Emancipator] - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLu63qHDubM

[Little People] - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlakYoDISiw&feature=related

[Indigo Sun] - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cdpjd-UKKEs

Not sure if there's a similar thread, keep in mind this thread is primarily for music that is similar to the music posted in the links above. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Post any music you fricking want too.

Define what you mean by chill...most of that except that last song I had to shut off halfway through cause it was crap. let me go through the 8k songs in itunes I have and see if I have anything similar to any of that. Though some of it, maybe try Daft Punk?

Thanks, I liked the first song(commercial?) "MS Oragami". I'll take a look at your playlists some time later tonight.

So Trip-Hop right, Thankfully that's right down my street, as I've been getting into it a lot recently.

Sneaker Pimps are great, and this song is addictive like crack (the group is my avatar as well). It just reeks of the 90's, in a good way mind.

A bit of Portishead is always good, one of the more well known Trip-Hop groups.

Frou Frou (Imogen Heap's group) has some really chilled out stuff, reminds me a lot of still alive in Mirror's Edge.

This is a good one by Tricky.

Another great Trip-Hop group Hooverphonic, who are very Portishead like.

And Finally, you can't recommend Trip Hop without a bit of Massive Attack.

I hope you like them.

Can't believe I left out Portishead. Great music, really enjoyed Hooverphonic.

I'm confused, i'm supposed to post stuff like you posted yet feel free to post whatever i want, lol
I'd prefer for you to post music you'd think I'd be interested in but if you don't listen to trip-hop then you are more than welcome to post a song you like. I don't listen to a lot of music so I wouldn't mind hearing different genres.

If it's something more instrumental then definitely give 5 minutes to check out some of Bonobo's stuff, very chilled and just generally good.

Here's one to get you started;

If you're looking for a trip hop sound, try Rob Dougan (the only addition I can make to this great list.) A bit of his stuff's more trip hop, a bit's more classical, and a bunch is somewhere in between.
