Like most things, it has it's good bits and it's bad bits. You just need to try and avoid the stupid crap and look out for the decent stuff.

Well, the problem with that is searching for good videos is like looking for the car keys in a billionaires mansion. A lot of work for not much payoff.

Also there are so many other websites where people make good video's, and acually make a decent amount of cash.

It's a website containing videos. If I want to watch a video I will use it. I ignore the people commenting because I found out a while ago that most people have nothing interesting to say.

I wouldn't say its a "blemish" on humanity, just SOME of the people that comment on the videos are a bit... single-minded.

I thimk someone once said that 90% of evrything is crud. that most defintely applys to youtube. but that 10% can be pure , undiluted awsomeness(see some of the better web sieres)

and it also a good place to post ideas that were rejected for TV (if monty python were founded today, thay would probably be on youtube)

Um... Free music and videos, movies, television, independent film-makers, comedy, whatever you want to watch, you can find it on YouTube. I don't see anything bad about it. Oh yeah, and it's free.

A lot of people have a low opinion of YouTube because anyone can upload content onto it (and because of the troll-heavy comments section of course), but there's gold to be found if you're willing to sift through enough excrement to find it.
