What is the best way to advert ones youtube channel, i have tried with no avail i have got some publicity but not enough! anyone have any suggestions.

Find another Youtube user who does something similar and have them give you a shout out, also not vidya.
Well if you're doing LPs or whatever you can make a thread in user reviews. I've also posted some videos here and there in related topics. You can definitely try to just get lots of friends like sleekgiant said. Hopefully someone looking at someone else's channel will then go to yours next or whatever. Mostly I think it's just luck. Well that and make sure to put good tags.
