Hello all.

I have been wanting for ages to do video reviews of games on the pc, as my written reviews have recieved a little praise here and there but i have been told video is the way to go nowadayz.

My laptop runs crysis on medium settings, so it can run everything (except stormrise, which takes a massive 2.8 dual core required and reccomended 2.2 QUAD CORE PROCESSOR.) but it also has a built in camera and so i could only video myself. I have tried gamecam and while this is good i do not want to spend money on it as it is not free. Can people please tell me a good recording device that records both the picture the game is putting out and the audio, in a nice crisp easy to manage way? And also is free?

Well, you did begin this with the preface "Yo Yo", so I am somewhat inclined to ridicule you, but I won't...
Damn I just did.
Anyway, I myself was wonderring if there is any good freeware that allows video capture of games.

Edit: Fraps is pretty good but costly.

There is a free version of fraps but I think it limits to 30 seconds or something and also has a watermark at the top of the screen.

dude, whatever. i asked for an answer to a simple question and so far all i have is people complaining about trivial things such as my choice of words and giving me other pay ware. Thanks, Pi_Fighter for being the only one here to be closest to answering my question, but most of all thanks for being the most cooperative.

I think you should have simply googled the following search term:
screen recording software open source

That might turn a few things up. No I will not google for you. You can post, and inconsistently use good grammar, I'm sure you can input some words into google. We are not your search monkeys.

lol tried googling loads of things...everytime i search free or freeware or open source it only comes up with trials. and i didn't ask you to judge me or search for me...i asked if you knew any. its a simple fucking question! yes or no...if yes the name of it and possibly where i can get it. if no, then a simple no or a sorry or some advice maybe. Simple stuff people
