The only thing that would get me to play botw2 would be no weapon degradation
I was really skeptical about it and put off at first, but I came to really like it. It makes you experiment with different weapons and figure out what works best for you and against different enemies, and it makes weapon selection a strategic choice based on cost-benefit analysis. Especially taking into consideration the number of ways to kill enemies without ever drawing a weapon rivals Just Cause in creativity and sadism.
Except experimenting only leads to further weapon degradation and is rather annoying anyway. Using magnetism is clumsy and will nearly always alert enemies before you can get the drop on them (literally), stasis requires you to hit objects and use up more of your weapon (and most likely over-shoot your moving target), and ice doesn't really do a damn thing. That only leaves bombs, which while effective enough are just really boring when you're using them over and over and over. And you will use them over and over and over.

I mean, it would mean me buying a switch so I'd much rather a Horizon Zero Dawn sequel. I still need to have a go on BOTW, which looks great, but I wouldn't pay Nintendo prices for games even if I had one. I mean, that game was released in 2017 and it's STILL 50 quid in the UK. F**k off Nintendo.

Give me ten good ChuChu jellies and some octo balloons, and I'll impregnate the *****.

True dungeons, more diversity of enemies & monsters, and more land to explore.

Oh, and I want Poes and ReDeads and spooky enemies like that.

Rehydrated Gannon. Maybe a story where the triforce of power isn't inherently evil.

Playable Zelda or character customization for Link, including gender.

Seriously, every third party that gets their hands on the license has Zelda as a playable character, and Hyrule Warriors straight up invented a version of female Link that's so popular she's got a huge modding community porting her in BotW.

Take the damn hint Nintendo.

No.

I've got nothing against having characters other than Link being playable, but making Link female is assinine, especially at this point in the series. And before you say "Linkle," I'l say that Linkle is Link's sister. She's her own character, not a female Link in-universe.

A main-line Zelda game where you opt to play as Link, Linkle, or even Zelda, where each character has their own mechanics and the story and progression even change depending upon character selection, would be motherfucking boss though. Or even better, do a Lost Vikings type of thing where all three characters get their own story, but you change characters during play and puzzles are based upon mixing and matching characters' abilities.

Nothing you've listed necessitates that i have six pages of inventory to scroll through every 5 minutes

It's bad game design
That's because it was good game design for the WiiU touchscreen, but this was then axed so as not to make the Switch version look like it lacked funcionality by comparison. Yeah, Nintendo made their own game worse for the sake of their new console.

For as brilliant as BotW is it's remarkable how many major issues it has.

I agree that it's an irritation, but a dealbreaker? That's just silly.

Three more things. The ability to repair any broken or damaged weapon in any town, with the cost in rupees for doing so related to the power of the weapon.

Secondly, using this (or something similar) for the opening title theme:

Can't be a coincidence, that imagery. I really love the long hair and the appearance of dirt being kicked up around the boots, giving the impression that Link's just been knocked back by a severe blow even though he blocked it with his shield and dug in his heels to avoid falling over.

Which brings us to three; the next step up in T-rated violence. A scene where a major villain defeats Link in a 'hopeless boss fight' and slams an iron boot down on his sword hand, breaking it and giving Link's voice actor plenty of room to show off the best of his well-honed skills at shouting. After that you'd have to fight through an area or two without being able to use swords or the bow similar to Eventide Island, forcing the creative use of your other gadgets until you find someone with magic that can heal the shattered bones of your hand.

I want, a loot system similar to borderlands 1. The best part of breath wild for me is when the monster dropped the weapon it was holding. More Special Monsters like lynels and the Cyclops to farm equipment

Hyrule Warriors.
...the Triforce of Power is 100% corruptive in Hyrule Warriors, and was Ganon's inlet to corrupting Cia and freeing himself.

Why? The Doctor went twelve incarnations before changing, and Link is explicitly a different person in most games. (It might not make sense for BotW2, but we should've had customization then too. Waking up was the perfect spot for the screen to do so)

I'm glad to see so many other people want a playable Zelda as much as I do. There's a decent chance this time around, so here's hoping!
