I didn't mean people aren't good at the game, just that the controls are simple and functional and that it's weird how people seem to think they're broken. They're really not broken, they were easy as fuck. Combos were easy, too. A lo9t of people complained about the teleporter being the same as counter. yeah, I teleported more than once without meaning to but it didn't break my combos at all. In fact it helps get behind an enemy.
I finally tried the game myself instead of watching. Controls are sluggish, though they're sadly not the worst I've played this week (Warriors Orochi 3 only has one task, and they screw that up). Complaints I've seen point towards bad controls and yes, I can agree with that. Even with the sensitivity cranked I'm aiming like I'm moving through Jell-o, the wall-jumping can be a touch anal and even the lock-on system doesn't seem to work that well (yet with the sluggish aiming, seems a borderline necessity for this game. Some of this may come down to the console, as I don't know what people are playing it on (360 for me). The game is technically piss easy, but comes down to an issue of it sort of needing to be to make up for control issues.

In short, I disagree with the functionality of the controls. They're pretty boilerplate, though. Any complaints about that are definitely odd.
The free aiming is very sluggish, yeah. I found the lock on easy enough as long as you don't rely on it (pressing it whenever an enemy moves seemed to work fine for me). But perhaps my love for Deadpool helped me WANT to get to grips with the controls faster. It worked, anyway.

I was stupid enough to get the Steam version of this game and, for some reason, the DS3 Tool isn't working for me. I dunno if I'm going to miss this game or not because this sort of humour really grates on me very quickly.
This kind of humour is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, so why did you buy it?
Impulse, to be honest. The NISA forums were going "OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD" and I thought "Eh, what the hell?" Don't get me wrong: I'd play more of it if it weren't for the horrible controls.

You know, I thought there was entirely too much killing in this game. I think games about killing need less killing in them. I mean, I felt like a monster wading through countless bad guys with bullets and swords or both. Deadpool is a mass murdering psychopath. This game would be so much more fun if Deadpool could simply talk his way our of trouble or maybe give the guys that are shooting at him time to make their intentions known. That would would have been much much better.
If you feel like a monster why'd you pick up this game up in the first place? Deadpool is a(n INSANE) MERCENARY, killing is in his job description regardless of who's paying. By your logic, you'd pick up your average CoD game expecting civilized talk as the main mechanic as opposed to the killing and war crimes and whatever else nonsense they have players do en masse. Or complain about walking into a fast food restaurant and being thrown for a loop that the main menu items are greasy and unhealthy.

Was actually making fun of Yahzee's ridiculous review of The Last of Us and his subsequent Extra Punctuation where he goes on about killing and how it's too easy. That, and he's always going on about how Drake of Uncharted is the mass murderer and blah blah... Believe me, I thought the exact same thing as you did when watching his review and reading more the next day...

I'm actually gonna pick Deadpool up this weekend. Love Nolan North and it's written by Daniel Way, the author of DP..

'K. I would recommend not doing it in one sitting since its kinda short. It only seemed longer to me 'cuz I've never played a melee/shooter before (but I will for Deadpool) and died a quite a few times on easy and you may not have the same hangup. Otherwise enjoy.

Thanks Yahzee for the power user tip: Shift + Ctrl +F5. My workflow just got a lot easier!

Kalezian - Put me down for $1000 on Damon Lindelof. The Universe will only suffer so much BS before it snaps.

Five to six hours = $25 - $30 worth of game, fully price. Maybe that was supposed to be ironic (like Jam)?

Brilliant, Yahtzee. And not only because that particular misuse of the word 'random' really gets on my tits, too.

The character Yahtzee is describing and the character in the game are actually Waypool, not deadpool.

Deadpool died a while ago when Daniel Way destroyed everything that made him a worthwhile character and turned him excessively lolrandom.

Never played this one. Worth getting on Steam? I worry it'll be too much like the Homestar Runner game in that its trying WAY too hard.

P.S. Conker's Bad Fur Day is straight up my favorite game of all time!
So I wasn't the only one who got reminded by "SBCG4AP." But yeah, now come to think of it, the humor from those games (especially '8-bit is enough' and 'Dangeresque 3') is eerily similar, though Deadpool never really got in the 'trying so hard it's embarrassing' zone like Strong Bad did.

Fun Fact: The villain Mr. Sinister was originally meant to be the alter-ego of a superpowered child. Which makes more sense that the nigh-immortal evolutionary scientist that works for/against the fully-immortal evolutionary mutant that we got.
