Haha that was really fun.

Really simplistic and that made it very fun. I love the bit where one Nazi was one a lower platform and you can kill him with the crotch attack by effectively skull fucking him, very classy.

I loved the whole one hit one life thing too, have to get it right in one go.

Don't let yaself get disheartened by these tools looking for "1337 uber" game, I thought it was really fun. Fun is what counts.

Will be looking forward to seeing more than a demo!

Oh and all these posts about weapons being tossed around.

Speaking personally, I don't think you should have a "change weapons" type aspect to it; it'd be putting a length (even though a short length) of complication into something which has no business being complicated.

As far as feedback goes, I reckon you could make it so Yahtzee(ii) can only carry/wield one weapon at a time and that weapon changes when you walk over it:

e.g.
You currently have default hip thrust
You see Shuriken Lightning gun on floor/platform
You walk over Shuriken Lightning gun
Shuriken Lightning gun now replaces default hip thrust until you walk over different weapon (which would then replace Shuriken Lightning gun instead of simply adding to a list of selectable weapons) or until you die (dying and respawning at checkpoint then leaving you back with default hip thrust.)

You know?

I like that one post about making him JRPG style :p
Could make one level like that and make it sardonic, and he has to drag a giant sword around (literally drag, because it's too heavy to carry :p) And have JRPG cut scenes every 2 or 3 paces, things like that.

But whatever you're going to do with it I'm sure you've already got a pretty good idea in your head, "the demo is suppose to convince you the game is good and make you want to play the full version." For me it did, so I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt that whatever you choose to do with it will be fun, Cappin' Invorta.

Heh, nice. A couple of friends and I were working on a "Why Humanity Fails to Understand My Genius" as a 16-bit game. We might start again :)

That one's intentional. As mentioned previously, Its a portmanteau of "Yahtzee" and the Nintendo Wii's "Mii" system. Sorry for the confusion.

Well I personally liked it. Sure theres a lot of work left to be done, but based on what I did play I'd say it was an OK platformer.

In one of the early, early builds of the game the enemies were in fact walking video game boxes. You would not believe how incredibly dull, boring and lazy that actually looks.

I find it...how would yahtzee say....perhaps "strangely compelling".

A bit too simple gameplay, needs a bit more stuff to spice it up, and i mean in terms of yahtzee's actions during gameplay (its just a demo, after all.)

Overall I like it. Don't stop now!


EDIT: I like the Yahtzee Creator.

Ok, when I'm prompted to hit the space bar, AKA "The Fuck You Button", I press it and nothing happens. Uber-Hitler is still walking around, other than that nothing.

Your suppose to press the spacebar while he is on the screen. Dont worry about his lazer vision it won't harm you. On other hand, his nazy shurikens will.

Right i'm fucking stuck on this game, I've search teh internets and I can't find a walkthrough on gamefaqs, how do I get past the nazi?

edit, he's not a Nazi, he's part of the village people.
