Not really. it just looks like any other point and click adventure game (basically non game). not very interesting

You hate on a lot of shit, with no real merits.

You do realize that Call of Duty and other FPS's are nothing but point and click games right? Point you gun, click, point your gun somewhere else, click. Those stupid sniper games you like? Guess what? Point and clicks bro!
If you genuinely think the gameplay in an FPS can be reduced to "its just point and click, bro" - I have no words for you.

OT: Nope, not interested. I need a lot more interactivity in my games. There needs to be a good mix of action and strategy for a game to appeal to me. I can appreciate a good story, but if I only have the illusion of control, I'd much rather just watch a play through of the game on YouTube. I usually can experience the best parts of a game like this one through a video instead of having to slog through the barebones gameplay.
Two previous games were puzzle/room escape games though. It is not as "action packed" as FPS games, obviously, but there WAS a gameplay. Not really sure about what is happening with this one though. Lets wait for trailer with actual gameplay before we judge it either positively or negatively.

I never played the second game. I like 999 but I heard that just about everyone in the second game was a dickhead, something that kind of turned me off buying it. The first game had a flawed but, for the most part, understandable cast. The only people that stabbed others in the back were bad guys. So I'm not sure if I want to buy this one. I'll have to wait to see if the second game is needed/the cast is more likable this time.
Weird that you heard that, because it has two characters who are nicer than anyone in the first game. One's so nice it might be suspicious, and the other is so nice it makes one (or two) endings kinda hilarious. (If you're not looking forward to that ending, don't worry because there's 24 in total.) There's only really one character who's a dick and it makes perfect sense while I'd say there's 2-3 characters that will get back at you if you spend enough time in the game.

So yeah, just try the game out.

The point is that you can break down every game to its fundamental gameplay mechanics. Saying that a game is just a point and click because that the game is based on puzzles solved viz point and clicking items is ignorance. You can not like a game, but by dismissing a game because it is a point and click is just foolish.

I would argue that a puzzle game point and clicker takes more effort than any Call of Duty game. The AI in COD basically walks you through the entire game. And yes, all you really do it point and click. It might be an exciting point and click, but when you really break the game down...it's a point and click.

Now obviously there is more to it, just like there is more to a puzzle game than point and clicking. I'm simply making a point.

Fair enough. Will wait until I see some more game play. I love me some puzzle games as well, so I'll wait until I see more.

And even if you will not like what you see with Zero Time Dilemma, please DO give 999 and Virtues Last Reward a try, because they are really worth it.

999 (and VLR to be fair) is one game I really wouldn't have liked to have experienced simply by watching YouTube. It's definitely something a little bit more special than your average VN. Even if I were to ignore the puzzle rooms, which certainly help break it up, the way in which the game involves you, the payer, into its narrative is quite unique and special and you only really experience that if you actually play it (multiple times mind you). Sadly, I can't really explain how though without spoiling the thing.

I love this series! I was so happy when I saw it was coming out this year! 999 and VLR are two of my favorite mysteries ever!
