Depending on what you want from a zombie game, I do recommend Plants Vs. Zombies.

The game has like 4 campaigns. It wasn't THAT long ago, but it does kinda get stale. Which is a shame, because the gameplay is spot on.

Plenty of zombie games, plenty of space marines, plenty of demons, plenty of orcs. Is there actually anything new out there? or are we stuck with what we have, and will just have to make sure the games have enough quality to compensate for the lack of original ideas?

The last game to do Zombies and Demons good was Doom 2. I would demand a source engine remake(or any remake that wasnt doom 3) but I would be better off preying to Jesus Christ that I would grow a second penis out of my forehead.
