Zombie panic!

Zombie panic is a 3rd party game for half life 2, gasp! A zombie mod for half life? Who would have thought it! That?s right this is just another one of the millions of zombie mods for HL2. No wonder they made Left 4 dead.

Game play
Zombie panics game play is flawed to the core. There a lot of balance issues in this game that make this game a choir to play. Let?s take you through the average game the flaws come at you as soon as you click join sever because as soon as your in and the round has ended, there is no team swap system, you wont take turns in Zombie V humans teams. You will have a quick time event, oh yes, I kid you not. F1 to join zombies F2 to join humans and EVERYONE wants to be humans you?ve joined the sever and wit out fail you have been shoved on to the zombie team first. Zombies have a set number of deaths per team and you as a zombie walk around quite slowly and bullets hit you back. Rendering you unable to move. So as soon as you?re hit you?re dead. To make things worse your only attack is the worst zombie claw attack ever made, and you have to hit them about 10 fucking times before there even down to half health. And that?s it, you have a sprint that doesn?t recharge and only makes you go about the humans walking speed. but having said that zombies will almost always win every game because of one thing that this game lacks, guns no worries about different types of guns, oh you?ll have plenty of pointless magnums and 5 different types of handgun that all take different ammo and fire at slightly different speeds. It?s just there no were to be found. it takes about 2 clips all bullets hitting to kill a zombie. But you only get one clip for the worst handgun in the game at the start. Assuming you?re playing online like your meant to, everyone else will have memorised the closest guns and they will take them all. If they have a rifle, you only have a handgun, there going to pick that second type of rifle then not use it and die.

And of course he?s going to blame you for his death.

Design

For a mod this game is damn well made, there?s about 5 different types of zombie skins, a good few humans skins, all custom made. there?s not much to save about it, the maps are made in SDK so if you?ve seen any of HL2 maps just image that but with a dark setting, they have added some nice touches in there maps with fire and rain, and there?s about 4 or 5 of them plus customs. so your not short on content. the weapon models are great, there?s a lot of them and you?ll never use about half of them, but there not bad either along with a sweet ass custom made hud that shows you how many bullets are in your clip sounds not bad, not great, but not annoying.

All in all this games not worth the download. they took a damn good go at making it but spent to much time on the skins and to little time on the game play, never the less
That doesn?t change the fact its still quite a popular zombie mod for Half life 2.

I find a few things in your review that aren't quite truthful. Firstly, the Zombie attacks need to hit only 3-4 times to kill a human. Secondly, the Lunge-o-meter does recharge but only if you 'feed' on humans, meaning attacking them or when they're dead, keep hacking at them.
Killing zombies with a handgun is tough, it's MEANT to be tough. But aimed correctly at their head you can kill a zombie with 7 or so bullets. Magnums are one shit kills to the head. Rifles are Noob-blasters and destroy everything.

You've also left out parts explaining the game mechanics to playing as the 'whitey' zombie, Objective maps, Melee weaponry.

This was a somewhat incomplete review as I don't think you spent too much time playing this game. At least, it certainly doesn't seem that way.

Do people still play that? The population was dwindling before Left 4 Dead, hard to believe it even still exists.

Zombie Panic!: Source was an addictive experience for me. I never knew it existed until Steam randomly added it to my uninstalled games list along with other Half Life 2 mods like Insurgency and Mare Nostrum.
It's a steep learning curve, not something you can master right off the bat or even in your first night of playing. But once you get it, you love it, and you're even slightly addicted. I can't tell you how many college assignments Zombie Panic!: Source has made me miss just because i wanted to get that 'One more round' in.

You really should put a review through spell-check before you post it. Things like "a choir to play" make you seem a lot less professional, and committed to what you say. You could use some more detail on your points, and to make sure you're not skipping over gameplay mechanics (white zombie). It was an okay review, I think the main thing you need is to make sure to spell-check, and keep practicing.

Haha! This perfectly explains my experience as well...

Being a huge zombie fan didn't help much with it either. I pulled a few all nighters myself doing catch-up work as a result (or even just playing the game.) I thought it was really great for a mod.

I really like Zombie Panic. It's fun and challenging. But it's got the steepest learning curve I've ever seen in a videogame. It's kind of obvious you didn't play the game that much (it takes 10 hits to kill someone, what the hell? It takes like 3 or 4)

Also the game is all about team work, even more so then Left 4 Dead. If you go off alone, good luck killing even ONE zombie.

If it weren't for your atrocious grammar and inane spelling errors, this review would be half decent. here are some tips to avoid these issues next time:

1. Take an english class. Learn to write better than the people who write harry potter fanfiction

2. Type it up in word first, then use spell check. That will fix a lot of your problems.

3. Proofread the fucking thing at least once before posting it. I know retarded ESL kids who know how to punctuate sentences better than that. for shame.

now if you'll excuse me, I have choirs to do.
Also, THIS.

"this game is not worth the download. it is however very popular, so wtf do i know anyway"
Something being popular does not mean nesaserly that its good.I told someone to proof read it,he said it was fine, evendently he was lieing.
