I don't really need a plan if my theory is correct.

Zombies are created by a virus
This Z-Virus can't survive in cold (usually viruses and bacteria die in cold)
The zombies are reanimated corpses so they have no bloodflow to keep them warm
Move to somewhere where is cold or hope that the Outbreak happens in winter
Profit

Step 1. Start the zombie apocalypse by raising the dead.

State of the world: Zombie Apocalypse
Step 2. Recruit the living into my undead legions of Doom.
State of the world: I rule the world with my Undead Legions Of Doom.

Step 3. Have my undead minions start mass producing robots before they're too decayed to be of any use.
Step 4. Have my robots mass produce more robots. (Keep doing this for the rest of the plan)

State of the world: Zombies are gone, I now have an army of robots.
Step 5. Have my robots build spacecraft.
Step 6. Take over the universe with my robotic army.
Step 6b. Replace my organic body with an immortal robotic one.

State of the world universe: I rule the universe.
Step 7. Find a way to go to other dimensions.
Step 8. Take over other dimensions.

State of the world universe things: I'm eternally taking over more dimensions.

can you elaborate on step 1 please

In step 1 I raise the dead which are buried in graveyards, sites of ancient battlefields (their flesh will most likely be all gone, so they'll become walking skeletons instead of zombies) and other places where I can find dead people using standard necromancy.

I have two different plans. If the zombies can be killed, or it looks like there's a chance humans will survive, then simply staying ahead of the horde with a few swords always within reach is my plan.

If it looks like we're screwed and there's no hope, I'm standing out in the middle of my street with as many swords as I can carry and seeing how many I can take out, Legolas and Gimli style. "Seventeen! Eighteen! Nineteen! TWENTY!" If I'm going down, I'm going down having fun.

Honestly, as stupid as this sounds, Wal-Mart. You have furniture to barricade the windows and doors, shotguns for hunting, and tons of food and supplies. If you run out go to another department store. Problem solved. Or you could just, you know...

Well, since I live in Northern Ireland, I can just head to the nearest police station, each one is basically fort knox, several feet of bomb proof concrete wall surrounding the courtyard, with lookout towers at strategic points in the wall, and a metal fence about 5 metres high above the concrete. No zombies are getting through that, add in that the stations have their own comm centres, and I'm guessing generators, and their bad ass army vans for riots, I'll just bring a tonne of canned food to barter my way in.

Are we talking fast or slow zombies? Zombies that have bad coordination or good coordination like being able to open doors? It all kind of depends on what kind of zombie your fighting...then their's also the problem of humans. Some people just snap in the apocalypse and start raiding and killing.

Anyways, my plan would just be to gather a bunch of my trusted and friends and keep moving from city to city. Staying in one place is suicide no matter how big of a outbreak, cause you'd get overwhelmed eventually.
