Perhaps it's like on Grixis, one of the shards of Alara, the zombies crave something similar to vis. Vis is the power in every living thing that allows it to live, and zombies crave it in some quasi attempt to come back to life.

Perhaps zombies just hate the living and want to kill them on sight, but other zombies are low priority and they don't particularly care. I think zombies are pretty self sufficient so the eating humans is just a nice treat in their eternity of suffering.

Of course all this hypothesizing relies upon the fact that their reanimated (or changed in the case of infected) by a virus. If the reanimation is a result of magic then I guess it's cus the magic tells them not to eat each other. I guess. It's magic so it can do whatever the fuck it wants to.
Short answer, a wizard did it(specifically a wizard who used necromancy, a necromancer if you will!)

Pheremones, living pheremones are given off and the dead give none, just scent.. not primal pheremones

They probably look at each other and think, "ewww, gross" and decide to go for the good stuff instead.

Have you eaten dead human flesh, yes no? Have you tried living flesh? The difference is just...oh my god.

One thing that's always confused me. classic zombies want brains. They will catch you, kill you, and eat your brain. Then you become a zombie. But to kill A zombie, you must destroy it's brain. If you went for the rabies type virus, then this isn't a problem, but classic zombies are a kunundrum.

But... that would be cannibalism!

Or maybe people just never notice it happening. Once in a while you see one nibbling on another. Not actual "eating," just having a snack.

They don't eat each other for the exact same reason WE don't eat our fellow man, it's because we taste awful

They can't function without their brain (for whatever reason) and they eat OUR brains because of the endorphins in our brain because it dulls the pain of being a zombie

Maybe its because the Zombies function with a hive mind similar to bees, meaning that somewhere in the world there is a single queen zombie which is more than 50 feet tall and when it is slain all the other zombies become permanently dead, instantly decay into piles of fresh healthy soil or become nonthreatening in some other way.

The Queen Zombie also controls them all and makes sure they don't attack each other.

Because dead flesh tastes terrible that's why zombies don't eat each other.

According to the zombie survival guide. Zombies do and can eat each other if they really are desperate, but they prefer human flesh.

They can even eat animals if no humans are present.

Plus, they refer live flesh rather than dead flesh.
