Zork Saving Help

I've recently fallen in love with Zork (a text-based game from the 1980's) but have encounted a problem. When I type the 'save' command I get this:

Insert save disk then enter a file name.
(Default is C:SAVE\ZORK1.DAT):

I've tried many things but can't figure out what to do, can anyone help me?

First off, what have you tried? So that we can eliminate that.

Are you using Dosbox? What OS do you have?

I normally just type the error into Google. Saved me a lot of times. I don't know how well it will work for such an old game though.

are you trying to play zork on black ops? i'm pretty sure it doesnt save there. also, 1880's?

I'm using DosBox, on vista (I know).
I've tried things like 'save1' (just name), the location (default) and name etc.
I just don't understand what I'm supposwed to do.
