Just found out about this incredible band.
The Cardiacs.
A little bit Residents, a little bit Devo, a little bit Renaldo and The Loaf, a little bit Madness.
Haven't been excited about a band for a while, so happy to be discovering their entire output.
These videos are amazing musically and as performance art, and they make give me spastic energy.
Sadly the frontman and main composer Tim Smith suffered a massive heart-attack/stroke that left him in a wheelchair with a mostly non-functional body, after leaving a My Bloody Valentine concert (another of my all-time favourite bands) in 2008.

I've tried synthwave and so far the only artist who I really like all the way through is Lazerhawk and Com Truise.
They just seem to get everything balanced the way I want it.
(ignoring all the vapourwave stuff I like that also crosses over into this genre)

I would’ve thought it was heavily inspired by this genuine classic -
