Well, the Taliban have done less to overthrow America in the last two years than Republicans have, so....Twitter which has banned countless people for even so much as being slightly too right leaning, apparently is okay with the "death to america" people because they are saying it in a strangely friendly way.

No individual or organisation that wants to continue ruling a place ignores public opinion. If they don't get feedback sooner, they'll get it later in the form of an armed revolt.I suspect that while there won't be any democratic decision making there will be a council responsible for consulting the opinions of the population on policy decisions that are not inherently covered by Sharia, although this probably won't be elected and will only be able to advise Hibatullah Akhundzada who is the leader of the Taliban and therefore the de facto absolute Emir of Afghanistan. The Quran strongly advocates the principle of Shura, which means that Muslims should resolve matters between each other by consultation and consensus, which is interpreted differently by different islamist states and organisations. Some take consultation from through advisory councils, others only through internal bureaucracy, and some through limited democracy under the control of wholly Islamist executives and courts.

Well, the Taliban could be doing a "fuck up 20 years of work" speedrun like the US did and be quite arrogant to the wills of the peopleNo individual or organisation that wants to continue ruling a place ignores public opinion. I wonder if the Taliban would call those people terrorists. No individual or organisation that wants to continue ruling a place ignores public opinion. If they don't get feedback sooner, they'll get it later in the form of an armed revolt.
considering guns are literally laying everywhere after 40 years of war in Afghanistan this is probably a serious problem for them.I wonder if the Taliban would call those people terrorists.
Why wouldn't they?I wonder if the Taliban would call those people terrorists.
You don't need arrogance when you have absolute religious conviction.Well, the Taliban could be doing a "fuck up 20 years of work" speedrun like the US did and be quite arrogant to the wills of the people
What's worse: His followers are even more stupid than he is.I forgot how dumb trump is, holyshit
I think it can be rightly debated which president will go down in history as the "worst". It's a spot that has changed (and will change) hands many times. Why wouldn't they?
One side's terrorist is another side's freedom fighter
I feel bad about giving attention to this dumbass, but...
Strip your soldiers of their gear, bomb them and then extract them? Military Mastermind.
I thought Trump had very little chance of going down as the worst ever US president... that is, right up until he inspired a mob to storm the Capitol. But I think even then he's safe, because it takes one hell of a screw up to surpass zero leadership whilst your country is heading towards outright civil war.I think it can be rightly debated which president will go down in history as the "worst". But when it comes down to which president has had the worst post-presidency, I think it's going to be Trump. The only possible contender against it would be John Tyler, due to the fact that he died in 1862 while serving as a member of the Confederate House of Representatives.
Off-topic but I do find it funny one of our greatest presidents Lincoln was sandwiched in between two of our worst, because it takes one hell of a screw up to surpass zero leadership whilst your country is heading towards outright civil war.
I think Bush will be seen as the worst president. Mainly because of the war on terror. He got us into an unnecessary war that has damaging effect on the world.I feel confident Trump will probably sit in the bottom quartile. He combines approximately zero notable achievements together with what will probably be remembered as a botched pandemic response and a great deal of scandal and rancour. Historians do not look kindly upon that sort of record.
Quite a few presidents were actively complicit in atrocities and Ronald Reagan committed treason so it's quite impressive that James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson managed to derelict their duties as president hard enough that most historians still rank them as being worse.I thought Trump had very little chance of going down as the worst ever US president... that is, right up until he inspired a mob to storm the Capitol. I was gonna say that Trump isn't even the worst as far as modern anerican presidents go. Which is funny when you think about it.I think Bush will be seen as the worst president. Mainly because of the war on terror. He got us into an unnecessary war that has damaging effect on the world.
The best thing I can say is that Biden didn't reverse the decision and then organised a Surge (at least yet)The annoying angry conservative commentators who make all their money yelling and complaining are extra annoying this week. I'm pretty pleased with the decision to pull out and the confidence to stand by the decision. Not that there aren't aspects to complain about, but everything has aspects to complain about.
