Huh, it looks like the campaign will feature multiple fronts and will break down into smaller stories, like in BF1 or COD: WAW. I mean it's still a COD game and I won't expect any groundbreaking writing, but at least the devs are acknowledging there were battles other than Post-Norway Western Front. Particularly interested in stallingrad.

Hoping for a wide variety in a maps as well. I mean think of the potentials here

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Back to those greatest hits huh. I mean if it came to steam I might grab it at some point since COD games are good dumb action games, but the last ww2 game just... Ugh, its gameplay was really good but the story was every ww2 movie cliché rolled in one. Annoying enough that I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. Yeah yeah multi whatever, I got it after it had been out a few years so the multi was probably dead aside from death match.

There. I've gotten that out of the way so now nobody else needs to say it.
The weird thing is that I'll bet since she's Russian there will be less of that whining since its "historically accurate" based on modern media understanding.

It'll be interesting to see how the first real post-Modern Warfare 2019 CoD game will turn out. Pretty much everyone agreed that Cold War was in every way an inferior game, but then they had some development problems.

As for this... meh. We all know this will have Warzone integration, and so long as Activision keeps forcing everyone to download that bloated piece of shit, I'm going to stay away from the whole franchise.

EDIT: Also lame to see the Pacific theater seems to be yet another Murica vs The Land of the Rising Sun thing yet again. It'd be nice if they took the "Hey, look Russian sniper women in WWII! The Harlem Hellfighters in WWI!" energy and put some into the Pacific theater. I haven't played a WWII game set in my country since the PS2/Xbox generation.

If doing a WWII game (again) in CoD (again) is "interesting," then we've got very different definitions of the word. :(

This game was apparently actually supposed to come out after MW2019 rather than cold war, but they ran into some massive issue, and it was apparently easier to push Cold War out the door when it was like 80% done and had a year cut off its development.

So on the plus side, Vanguard will apparently launch with 20 multiplayer maps, which is like 3x the number of maps Cold War launched with because it got an extra year of dev.

Also, the pacific theater might actually be pretty interesting as one of the main characters is an Australian soldier, so we'll actually get some of the Australian perspective this time around. I'm also excited to see some of the African conflict.

Honestly though, I've never been very into the Slegehammer COD games.

Also, about Warzone integration, yeah, I hate it. I don't care for Battle Royales at all, and having to download patches for WZ for MW when I had no interest in playing it was brutal on the PS4. Thankfully on PC you don't have to install Warzone or care about the updates for it. Makes the game so much smaller.

20 maps does sound impressive, but honestly I can't see how a WWII CoD could even come close to being as good as a MW one in terms of gameplay. Didn't realize the Pacific theater guy was Australian, they really should have thrown in a few "G'day mate"s.

I wonder also if the Warzone playerbase is ready for a whole year of WWII content, if that's what they're doing. Apparently Battlefield V's battle royale wasn't too bad, maybe Warzone might actually benefit from moving away from modern times.

That sound you hear is Houseman making a sock puppet so he can show up again and complain how Women in COD/BF games are immersion breaking for reasons.

Anyway, I'm not gonna bother. IW, while fun, was enough for me to bow out and the fact the games after that seem to be increasingly bloated and have some unfortunate implications(Cold War's advertising, Ahem) made me drop out.

And then there's the whole A/B harassment scandel thing going on......

Why would that be weird ?
Because people seem to ignore that women are involved in every conflict. They are mainly visible in support rolls but there are a ton of instances of women sneaking into the military and joining as solders. Which could make a fantastic game since not only would you have to worry about the enemy, but also your own allies since if they found out you would be kicked out.

Did he get banned?
Yes. He got banned last year. I'm going to assume you had him on ignore. Yoshi got banned too, in case you didn't know or forgotten. They're both on the Easy Allies forum and they're both on very thin ice there.
