Gonna be interesting to see how they deal with the fact Jesse McCree is an Overwatch character's name lol

Well that's a lovely statement of Sledgehammer... let's see if some minutes of web search can turn up anything to make me doubt their sincerity, apart from general skepticism.

[some minutes later]

I turned up nothing. I also note that they are based in California, which probably means that the employees keep close eyes on what's going on in their sister studio.

Who knows, Jason Schierer may find something from some anonymous twitter poster claiming to be an employee.

Guess I'm the only one that follows to keep up at this point.
It isn't that so much is that Blizzard have been sinking deeper and deeper into shit for the past what, two months or so? It gets to a point where ticking off another marker on the depth gauge just isn't worth noting. Now once the trial starts and the depth charges start going off, then we'll be something to talk about.

I still think it's a good idea to keep up on it. Not every single day, 24/7, but enough to know to keep on the up and up. It also doubles as a screw you to all those that claim that's "enough"or they don't want to hear anymore, because they don't want to feel guilty about buying anything from them. I feel it's worth it.

Most people don't actually care. The initial hype is gone so the news outlets have less to gain from covering it till this gets to a court and the consumers have gotten their thrill from the story and have moved on to the next one. Because most of the people that talk about how much of a problem this is don't actually care enough to do more than type words.

As an example, Hearthstone content creators have become less enthusiastic to play the game and have been getting less viewers because of the crappy meta of the latest expansion more than the allegations did.

Well you see businesses have been torturing and abusing employees to the point that some may be taking their own lives but also some "SJWs" say silly things on the Internet and who's to say what the real problem in the games industry is?
I am aware that the State of California filed a lawsuit after 2 years investigation sir.

And they're idiots and mindless puppet pawns for not caring. They'll start caring the moment something happens to someone they do care about or it's themselves. Either way, as far as Hearthstone goes at least Activision and Blizzard is getting screwed some type of way.

And this is why gaming culture is a cesspool. Don't give a damn if the people who make the games they claim to love are killing themselves because of a toxic environment, but they'll send death threats because the refire rate of a pretend sniper rifle got changed. Overgrown children pretending to be adults, and badly at that.

What does gamming have to do with it? A book readers group would do the same, sports followers do the same. Stop with these excuses for why we are this way, this is human nature.

Stop making excuses for shitty people being shitty. The gaming community does indeed have an incredible toxicity problem, and people like you are part of it because you refuse to even acknowledge the problem, thus making it worse.

You know who's done a way better job of policing toxicity amongst their own? The furries. No joke. Furries have done an excellent job of calling out, blocking and resisting toxicity and intolerance within the fandom. Not to say it no longer exists of course, but furries have done way more to marginalize that behavior than you ever have. If they can do it, what's your excuse?

The same can be said against all the people complaining about games being dumbed down to appeal to a wider audience?
