A new trend for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake has fans redrawing one of its characters, Tifa Lockhart, with short hair. The result is a bunch of great fan art and even a mod that adds Tifa and her new bob to the game.

I posted that a while back, either here or in Gaming Jokes, but totally agree.

And I didn't think much of it's story before Plague took it apart. I never really considering the Blitzball aspect of it, mostly because I avoided Blitzball as much as possible in that game(and thus will never get Wakka's best weapon), because I don't care much for sports on a good day and while Blitzball looks really cool in the cutscenes, in actual gameplay it feels like SE shoved a mediocre sports game into an otherwise decent FF game and then demanded you play it a couple time so you could lose to a bunch of pricks. Also, it's kinda telling the "best team" also has access to the world's only Blitzball stadium so everyone else is basically just splashing around in the water hoping to someday compete with the dudes who have all the money and resources.

This video discusses about most AAA companies can't be bothered with just small successes any more. Capcom had this problem too, but thankfully has learned something with Strider (2014), Mega Man 11, and Ghost n Goblins.

I guess that’s what happens when a studio doesn’t have oversight and is merely left to the whims of creatives. Doesn’t seem like an “abrupt” shutdown either after five years of it going nowhere.

I ended up picking up the remaster, and lemme tell you- I only played the N64 version back in the day, but the game seems to lose a fair bit of challenge with things like mouselook and high refresh rates.

The way it was meant to be played. Also, it does get harder later, or you gotta crank up the difficulty.
