Stop making excuses for shitty people being shitty. The gaming community does indeed have an incredible toxicity problem, and people like you are part of it because you refuse to even acknowledge the problem, thus making it worse.
Look at my post, point to the part where I say this is an issue that does not manifest in gamers. Look hard, read it very carefully, put those braincells to work. I acknowledge a problem, that problem is with our entire species. But of course you would think humans can just be socially engineered to do whatever you want.

Very cool and valuable to acknowledge a problem and do fuck all about it 👍

Which is your oh-so convenient excuse for doing fuck nothing about it, thus allowing the problem to continue if not worsen. Ditch that basic-ass contrarianism and grow up.

But of course you would think humans can just be socially engineered to do whatever you want.
No, I just acknowledge that humanity is more than a collection of feral impulses and that we have the ability to second-guess those impulses and apply a civilized veneer over our basest desires. That you don't is your own personal failure and has nothing to do with me.

How does saying, "Fuck gamers, they do all this terrible shit" solve the problem when you now acknowledge that this is a problem with the human race? So you were deliberately misrepresenting what I said? Fixing this kind of thing requires a broader understanding of the human condition. And there's plenty of solutions to this problem but I know neither you nor anyone else is going to try them because they come with trade offs.

That requires you to work what humans are, not make up fantasy scenarios that don't work in the real world and then grind and smash anyone who says the emperor has no clothes. Your ideology creates the very evil you claim to hate.

I don't use the dark side of human nature as an excuse to do nothing. The furries were able to police this shit among their own. The only thing stopping you is your own laziness and ignorance.

Yawn.

But worse than constantly complaining about people trying to do anything about the problem.
Not if they've misidentified the problem. If there's a famine, and you're trying to find a way to feed people, I'm horrible for trying to stop you... unless you think witches are causing the famine and your solution is to burn them. Accurately identifying problems is necessary to fighting them being a good thing. To put it on topic, if you identify issues as "gamer" problems, you start to attack the games or encourage people to stop playing. If you identify them as human problems that the gaming community also has, the logical step is to consider what has been done elsewhere and try those solutions here. Buyetyen is crying about Spector not helping, but identifying that the problem isn't that people who play games are specifically "overgrown children that pretend to be adults" is necessary to find Buyetyen's own solution of being like other communities.

This originally started with someone talking about Gaming Culture. You know, as a seperate thing from people inside it. And perhaps is encouraging gamers to make poor decisions

But, somehow, it turned into Rogue attacking people.

The problem is that Specter assumed talking about culture is an attack on particular people in that culture and then made comments that seemed to say, 'why would we bother fixing because that's what everyone else is like.' And people reacted to that

Misidentifing the problem indeed.

I'm confused. You identify that Rogue Wolf attacked the people, but then took Specter's response to that as an out of nowhere assumption that it's an attack on people?

@The Rogue Wolf is not that wrong. Especially when it's been proven true multiple times at this point. There are many a gamer that act like selfish buttholes, little bitches, and very ignorant. Either because of something usually or something not that big a deal, or making a mountain out of a mole hill.

There are good and decent gamers out there, but that still doesn't excuse the fact nor should we ignore the toxic behavior. We should always call those out that choose to be jackasses and do nothing to help gamers or non-gamers alike.

I find the name removal pointless, as nearly the entire planet knows who publishes these games. Your logos right on the box of all the previous Call Of Duties. Most people aren't that stupid in this regard. Whatever helps you get the cash. Even though any random Yahoo could just put your name in Google and see all the games you published.

The one thing that peeves me about Jesse Cox's statement

Meanwhile, Cox says he has chosen to not play Blizzard games anymore until the employees are properly heard:

“It’s why I’ve chosen to no longer play Blizzard games until the employees — be they my friends or total strangers — are actually listened to and properly heard.”

But you have not even played a Blizzard game at all, judging by his youtube channel. Not a single Blizzard thing in a year or more.

I don't give a rat's ass about Cox. Regardless if he has or hasn't, it's his choice to make. It ain't all about him. You have a point, but I couldn't care about the guy. I haven't touched a Blizzard game since 2000 freaking 5. The last Activision game I bought new was Transformers Devastation. And only bought that because I love Platinum Games.

Edit: I made a mistake. I forgot about the Crash Trilogy and Crash 4. But similar reasons, it was because of the developers behind them and not the publisher themselves.

That's my beef people that hasn't played a Blizzard game at all, feels like they need to speak out for the community that plays these games.

Angry Joe hasn't played a Blizzard game in years and he's talking about it only when Blizzard fucks up so he can make money off the clicks this controversy gives him.
