Now Kotaku wants more silliness in games? Where the hell were you guys and gals back then in most of the 2010s. You were all about how everything and most things need to be "serious" or non-gamers won't take us seriously. Or how Japanese gaming is "dead". I know different people come and go, and that it is never always the same writer, but I do find it odd coming from one of the staff on the site.

Gamespot and IGN being fools as usual. And no Matt Kim (IGN), a destroyed city is not a Fornite reference, you fucking moron!

This is an interesting perspective piece -

I personally was never that bothered by the area. The buildings had an oddly Aztecan or Mayanesque feeling to them, and it still had one of the better shortcuts/connections in the game. The copy/pasting of the demon enemies in the lava fields was the biggest wtf moment for me.

What, you're not into a bunch of Dragon Butts? :)

I really do wish they'd had more time to put into it. Partially because the Bed of Choas is just a poorly implemented boss and partially because it feels like this could have been a MUCH more interesting area if they'd had time to polish it.

I seriously wonder sometimes if the Tomb of the GIants is Pitch Black soley to hide the fact they were running low on time when they did the endgame areas.

It also leads one to wonder if Sony would have given them more time if they were funding it, like Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne.

If Simmons is getting Cyberpunk 2077 red flags, that is not a good sign. I find it weird you can get the bundle on Black Friday that comes with the game, but you can't get the actual game itself until December 8th. That 20th anniversary bundle, you get the game, but you can't play it until December 8th. I know Microsoft ain't exactly happy about that.

If you're still interested, obviously.
I appreciate the offer. I am not invested at the moment, but I will have to see if laptop can handle it. I plan on getting a gaming laptop, so maybe it will work better with that.

It should, I would think, since the game is 16 years old right now.

Also, hope your A/C got fixed. Speaking as someone who had to suffer from 113 degree days 2 months ago in a region where it rarely breaks 100 in the summer.

My laptop is a refurbished HP model from 2018, so it should do fine then.

Not yet. We are waiting on the guy to get here at 2 pm today. What sucks is that we got a new A/C installed this year back in late February. We have an attic fan and some windows cracked open, so we're okay for now.
