Man 2021 has been rather shit, and i don't mean pandemic (sort of). A lot of games should have released this year, but damn near all of them got pushed back to 2022 and mostly in Febuary for some reason.

The good news is that has made 2022 fucking STACKED for games (assuming they release without further delay). While Elden Ring has won the most antisipated game on the Game Advertisements two years in a row, I know that not everyone on the forum is interested in that game.

So what games are you guys most looking forward to playing next year. I know a lot of you still don't have next gen systems so it should yield curious results I think.

Big releases for 2022 are as follows if you need a refresher:

Elden Ring
Horizon Forbidden West
Dying Light 2
God of War Ragnarok
Ghostwire Tokyo
Gran Turismo 7
Suicide Squad
Spider-Man 2
PokeMon Arceus
ForeSpoken
Sifu
Mario + Rabids 2
Zelda BOTW 2

And that's just a few pickings. There is a lot of on offer on both Sony and Nintendo platforms. Plus a few high strategy games for PC.

Personally I have a lot of hype for Elden Ring, but I think I'm more excited for Horizon 2 at this point.

What you guys got?

Total Warhammer 3. Although my feelings were dampened a bit by the campaign battle gameplay they showed a while back with the weird defence tower building stuff and the look of the Daemon maps wasn't great. Plus not really interested in Cathay or the newer elements of Kislev... Anyway, despite sounding quite negative, I'm certainly going to pick up and play this one around launch.

Also Darktide. I don't usually play online multiplayer but I know a few ex Escapians that are going to be picking it up so I'll be giving it a go with them.

Is space marine 2 a 2022 release? If so, that too.

I’m planning on Horizon: FW and GoW: R along with ER but not sure when. If I get any of those at launch it’d probably be ER just because I know it runs well on PS4, especially being more open worldy. FROM must have tweaked their engine because even Sekiro had more hiccups than the network test version, at least in my experience.

With the other two, I think I’d rather wait until I actually have a PS5, and with those you know there will be some kind of expanded “complete” edition down the road at a discount anyways.

Elden Ring, Blood Bowl 3 and Isonzo are on my radar. Unfortunately only one of those actually has a solid release date.

Whatever PlayDead is quietly cooking up. It was 6 years between Limbo (2010) and Inside (2016), so we're exactly due for their next masterpiece in 2022...

Haven't really given it much thought. But now that the question's been raised, I can't really think of anything. Hollow Knight Silksong? That's about it for upcoming games.

Nothing. I have a big enough backlog that indulging in hype feels pointless.
I got my own little backlog too. So I got time before most of my games even come out. I got to go back and play some Super Bomberman 94 and Ninja Gaiden. I'll probably do that tonight

Space Marine 2, without a doubt.

Also non-video game related, my school is finally going to open the teaching kitchens again, now that the vaccine is more available, so I can finally finish my culinary degree. Hopefully I don't get Covid this time.
Let me know when you get a killer Beef Weelington recipe :)

Maybe Silksong?

All I got right now. The rest don't have a release date and I hate to get amped up until I know when something is coming out. Besides, I'm sure I'll come across a bunch more games in the next few months to go on my wishlist.

I don't know about "most" looking forward to, but as a generality, I guess I can nominate the following:

-Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
-Diablo Immortal
-Dune: Spice Wars
-The Expanse: A Telltale Series
-Homeworld 3
-The House of the Dead: Remake
-The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2
-The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
-Sonic Frontiers
-Starship Troopers: Terran Command
-Star Trek: Resurgence
-Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
-Terminator: Resistance

Of course, how many of these games I actually get is another matter. Of the above, the only one I've set aside money for is Sonic Frontiers.
