It’s apparently the Chinese and Russians. The former because America supports Ukraine and they hate America, and Russians veiling their approval of their country’s actions by saying they just don’t want political stances mixed in their games. Which in the case of This War of Mine at least, is political in itself.

Apparently, there are guys with 400+ hours (or even 4000+ hours) who are giving negative reviews because they claim the devs mixed entertainment with politics. But by leaving negative reviews in retaliation, aren't these guys condemning the same actions they are taking?
EDIT:
It's not just this game. Euro Truck, American Truck Sim, and This war of mine are all getting review bombed for devs supporting Ukraine.
Eh. I've seen this kind of thing before with a Vtuber named Coco. After she brought up Taiwan as a country, for like, five seconds, she ended up getting a gigantic hate campaign by Chinese nationalists against her for months and months and months. Wouldn't be surprised if this is a similar situation or just Russian bots.

Though I know you're not addressing me, for me personally, I'm fine with political themes, or discussing elements of a political nature. But I detest allegory, especially when I'm getting hit over the head with it. I would like to think most adults have grown up enough that they don't need to hear The Three Little Pigs, in order to understand the values of hard work and preparation."Don't mix games with politics. I certainly share your dislike for poorly done and/or unsubtle allagory (even if I don't have a problem with allegory itself), but that's more a problem of poor storytelling. There's a number of people who have a dislike for anything "political" in games, period. And that's resulted in some bizzare complaints, ranging from Last of Us 2 being "poliical" because of Abby, or people praying that the BioShock movie isn't "woke" (guys, have you even played BioShock? Did the themes of anti-Randism go over you?)Though I know you're not addressing me, for me personally, I'm fine with political themes, or discussing elements of a political nature. Um...I would like to think most adults have grown up enough that they don't need to hear The Three Little Pigs, in order to understand the values of hard work and preparation.
Need I remind you of this?people praying that the BioShock movie isn't "woke" (guys, have you even played BioShock? Did the themes of anti-Randism go over you?)
About that....Kind of like Little Red Riding Hood, never saw the story as having a moral outside "wolves are bad."
What Is Different in Perrault's Version?
The summary of Red Riding Hood is basically the same in both versions. The main difference is the absence of the hunter in Perrault's story: In this case, the story ends when the wolf eats the girl. We read only a conclusion in verse saying not to trust strangers.
Well, this is not the only difference! I will present just a few—some may be negligible at first sight, but if we take a few moments to think them over, we'll notice that every single detail can make a huge difference.
Compare Perrault's and Grimm's Red Cap
- In the beginning of Perrault's story, the mother gives the daughter a basket and sends her to her grandmother with the words: "Do not talk to strangers!" The warning about not leaving the path was an addition by the Grimms.
- The messages of both fairy tales differ. Perrault warns us not to trust strangers and the Brothers Grimm emphasize how important is to stay on the trail.
- The content of the basket is not the same in both cases. Psychoanalysts were especially excited over a bottle of wine added by William Grimm. It is supposed to have a strong symbolic meaning—and we will deal with that later!
- Perrault's Red Riding Hood takes her clothes off and gets into bed with the wolf. The implications are obvious. This version is not appropriate for kids, and it really never was intended for a young audience in the first place. The Grimms' Red Cap doesn't do that: She just approaches the wolf and gets eaten.
The Color Red
When the girl gets a hood from her grandmother, we can say the life forces are passing from older (going) to younger (coming) generation. The red color is, of course, the color of life and blood. It can be easily associated with menstrual blood.
The red color of the hood is an invention of Charles Perrault, and we should know that in the 17th century, a decent woman would never wear a red hood because red was the color of sin. Only ladies with really bad reputations wore red dresses, and Perrault's insinuations were obvious.
I'm pretty sure the point of making a house of straw or sticks over brick is that it's faster and easier to move the much lighter material and make it into a structure. The third pig, by putting in more effort now, despite it being more difficult, avoided a huge penalty later. It's the same with The Ant and the Grasshopper.I certainly share your dislike for poorly done and/or unsubtle allagory (even if I don't have a problem with allegory itself), but that's more a problem of poor storytelling. Um...
Well, this is potentially embarassing, but I actually never saw that as the moral of the Three Little Pigs. Maybe in some versions, but I don't recall Pig 1 and Pig 2 working less hard than Pig 3. They just make the mistake of choosing shoddier building materials. Kind of like Little Red Riding Hood, never saw the story as having a moral outside "wolves are bad."
...ugh.Need I remind you of this?
Tea Party Group Unironically Utilizes BioShock Infinite Propaganda
As we head into this holiday season, video game news grows relatively quiet and crazy stories start popping out their heads instead. For a bit of a break from the console wars, we turn to the National Liberty Federation, a conservative "Tea Party" styled group which has recently dipped its [...]www.forbes.com
Some people are really that stupid, play games for the shallowest reasons and don't wanna think, or don't play anything at all, and wish they part of these fantasy "utopias". There is a reason the term misaimed fandom exists.
Huh. The more you know. 0_0About that....
Snip.
Going by what the author described, it's most likely the first option. The Tea Party are still assholes and can get right fucked with a barbed wire wrapped dildo. Is it that they picked out the image at random, and didn't know the context,
I was 16 when I truly learned the meaning behind Red Riding Hood.Huh. The more you know. 0_0
Having an actual war going on in your country is as reasonable an excuse for delaying a game as anyone's going to be able to give. Anyone who expects them to "just shut up and keep working" is invited to go fellate a running weedwhacker.STALKER 2 development put on hold, again, tho any reasonable person will agree it's for a very good reason. I wish them all the best and to get through this safely.
Tho I'm sure there'll be people really upset they won't get to play a game in the timeframe they wanted, the malingering gits.Stalker 2 development paused: 'We are striving to help our employees and their families to survive'

Oh, but you just know there's dudes like that out there, possibly the same ones whose first reaction to the whole Activision-Blizzard affair was "But muh Diablo 4?"Having an actual war going on in your country is as reasonable an excuse for delaying a game as anyone's going to be able to give. In the version I read my toddler the first two only spend an afternoon building their houses, while the third spends about a week building his. He also contends with his brother pigs teasing and belittling him for spending so much time on it while they kick back and watch.I certainly share your dislike for poorly done and/or unsubtle allagory (even if I don't have a problem with allegory itself), but that's more a problem of poor storytelling.
