Nonono, don't you do this to us, Mizayaki. Not now, not like this. Don't you fucking dare!
I'm reminded of how it was a very late inclusion to A Link to the Past to have the bombable walls have cracks in them by Miyamoto's instruction because he was worried people would just spend the whole game stabbing walls to see if they could be blown up.

To be fair, the original LOZ had destructible walls and trees and rocks that conceal dungeons and items and such and there's like NO FUCKING HINT which ones are destructible. Like one of the hidden entrances is a burnable tree/bush on a screen FULL OF TREES/BUSHES and the only way to tell is just FUCKING BURN EVERY TREE IN THE FOREST! You know, like a responsible person and not the precursor to the great Hyrule fire that link totally started.

LOZ was the original Dark Souls of Zelda games....or Dark Souls is the Zelda of....I think I lost my metaphor somewhere. If anyone happens to find it let me know

"You're not a real Souls fan unless you've hit every last piece of level geometry at least a hundred and fifty times with every weapon."
apparently that wall is a bug. Illusionary walls have 1 hp that can be destroyed by almost anything. But this wall appears to have once been a illusion wall that they cancelled for whatever reason. So rather that changing the level to plop a reall wall their, they instead increased the hp value of the wall figuring nobody would hit it enough to break it. Why this wall though? Who the fuck knows and who know how many of these lazy fix walls there are in the game.

Yet another idiotic decision of not doing deep research into the source material

On the other hand, they also say, "We talked about the characters and the world" so is this not actually that they didn't bother looking at the source material and that a scumbag is instead turning this into a controversy by cherry picking things they said to make it seem that way? Because maybe what they meant is that they didn't look at the game as in gameplay which I would understand more.

But I also wouldn't be surprised if this is just normal idiots being idiots and not caring about the source material.

The creative teams at Nintendo love the games. Unfortunately, the bean-counters only see them as "products".

I feel sorry for anyone who missed out on the itch.io bundle, and the chance to call themselves proud owners of Thirsty Sword Lesbians.

Gran Turismo 7 now has the dubious honour of having the worst Metacritic user score for a game from PlayStation Studios, Sony Interactive Entertainment, SCEA, SCEE, or SCEJ. Ever.

As Victoria explained earlier this week, Gran Turismo 7 went dark on 17th March as servers went offline for scheduled maintenance that was then extended for over 24 hours. As a result, many took to social media platforms and Metacritic to voice their grievances, where the game's aggregate score on the latter dropped to 4.1.

Now, however, as players come to terms with the recently released 1.07 patch - which makes it even harder for players to unlock new cars without resorting to microtransactions - that rating has dropped again, falling to just 2.3 from over 4300 user reviews. It's a stark contrast to the critic score, which currently sits at 87.

"No content. Forces microtransactions. Fixed roulette cards. Race rewards are a joke. Cars are overpriced. Ridiculous tire model. Some graphics in the background are straight from the ps3 (os ps2)," wrote one unhappy player.

"Now we know why this game has to be always online!" opined another. "The players are being cheated by [Polyphony Digital]! The highlight is Kazunori Yamauchi's arrogant attempt to justify the exorbitant car credits. One reason for playing video games is that dreams come true. PD/Sony are destroying dreams with their always-online-cash-garbage."

As our friends at VGC explain, this means Gran Turismo 7's user score has dropped below that of World of Warriors, which had hitherto been the unfortunate best of the worst games from PlayStation with a Metacritic user score of 2.9. The runner-up had been PSP's NBA 10 The Inside at 3.0.

Eurogamer's resident racer and editor-in-chief Martin Robinson has called Gran Turismo 7's microtransactions "pretty grim", saying they were "a significant blot on an otherwise excellent game".
Lol. lmao. How the series has fallen. As a bit of a racing game player myself, am certainly growing more frustrated with the push towards "always online" single-player racing games and other tactics, as it's 100% completely unnecessary bullshit. The "anti-cheat" excuse has always been weak. But it seems the genre rests on a precipice between the extending horrid business practices of the official Sports genre, and the more dedicated, eclectic extreme videogame sports that brings in solo players who often have more experience with other games and therefore slightly less tolerance towards the pushing of this awful crap. Is like a tug of war between the two in every new AAA racing game. Suffice to say, I've no interest in this entry now. Nowt worse that a single-player game you know will be rendered unplayable once the servers go offline, and the extra dodgy monetisation tactics are the cherry on top.

Huh. This coming from one of my most hated games of all time.

It's actually really surprising, considering bigger corps didn't bother doing these sort of donations

This is another trend jumper, nothing more. While heartwarming in hindsight, it doesn't excuse the fact that Epic still treats employees like shit. Especially when it comes to all things Fortnite. Is it the same publishers that encourage kids to bully each other, because they don't have the more expensive skins or weapons. So they have these kids bully each other into buying expensive stuff they don't need, and taking their parents credit and debit cards. So they can definitely screw off.

I will accept their actions as good but it doesn't really shift my opinion of them.

This feels like one of those "a broken clock is right twice a day" moments
Eh, kinda I guess. I believe that everyone has good and bad in them, there's no such things as a pure person of either persuasion. The question is how much of you is dark and how much is light. I would like to at least be truthful about when I think an action is good, even if done by someone bad and vice versa. Eehhh, but I'm probably not saying anything ya haven't heard before.

This post should be tweeted to Miyazaki every day until a response is given.

Either way, expect massive backlash from every Halo fanatic that notices “critical” details missing or changed completely. I have no interest in this but safe to say the show runner’s credits aren’t nearly good enough to see this being done well.

It would be interesting to see how well a petition to have Jim Ryan step down as head of Sony would do.

This news would be exciting if it wasn't for CP2077 launch. I love the game as it is, but I think we can all agree that the launch was a disaster and the development leading up to the launch was shocking.

AND they are partnering with Epic? I'm smelling something worse than CP2077 here
