This is something worth fighting for. Everyone get in here and read this! History is important!

The Dark Souls Train keeps on chugging.

Either they are or they aren't. There is no could be.

You know what’s really frustrating about the last one is that all these rumors started swirling a year ago now, and still absolutely nothing has happened besides what, a canceled demo?

FFS it might as well just be more Kojima trolling.

As for the first, a passage from the article makes it clear these publishers don’t care unless there’s extra money involved -

Section 1201 “makes it unlawful to circumvent technological measures used to prevent unauthorized access to copyrighted works, including copyrighted books, movies, videos, video games, and computer software.”

Imagine a video game trapped inside a burning building, and on the door of that building is a lock. Video game preservationists want to rescue the video game before it goes up in flames, but in order to get to it, they have to break the lock. Section 1201 essentially states that even though all the archivists want to do is get the game out before it burns, if they break the lock, they’re breaking the law.

Time to change the bloody law.

Albert understands the business decision involved in taking down a digital storefront, but they take issue with this kind of “if we decide we’re not selling it, you just don’t get to have it” mentality. “So when they shut down access to these stores [...] after having made it much more difficult for preservation institutions to effectively preserve the games, it comes off as really offensive,” they said.

Absolutely pathetic behavior from these companies.

Neat. No platforms mentioned tho. I mean, pc, obviously. But what else?
Is this a joke? Like seriously, is this a joke? My heart can't take a joke like this.

If isn't, I hope this is Ron's vision of what Monkey Island 3 was going to be. Don't get me wrong, Curse was good but it wasn't the intended follow up to the wierdness that was MI2's ending but he ended up leaving Lucasarts before MI3/Curse of MI came out. He's flat out said Curse wasn't want he had in mind for a follow up, though he did enjoy it.

Ok, it is gonna be a direct sequel to MI2 and they're gonna pretend the other games after MI2 didn't happen(except for Murry, the talking skull).

Apparently Gilbert got some of the old LucasArts gang back together and they've been working on it in secret for 2 years.

Dominic Armato confirmed to return for voice duty.

My controller now has slight drift after a year and a half of use. This is the first time I've ever had a controller do this, even my joycons are fine. There were launch problems with almsot every launch console and I've always been lucky enough to not have any of those issues. Not that big of a deal though, it was about time to get a new controller for me anyway, I wanted a fancy blue one.

I've only ever used my joycons twice. A few weeks after I got my Switch in 2018. After that, I went straight for the third party controllers. They work and play so much better.

I only ever use my switch on airplanes, so im not fucking with lugging around an extra controller for that.

Nothing wrong with that. You play your way. The irony is is that I rarely ever use my switch for portability. The only time I ever take it out is to look through eShop while I'm playing on my PlayStation 4. Otherwise, 98% of the time it stays docked. Sometimes I'll take it over to my older brother's so we can do some co-op games, but that is about it. It's been a while since we done that though.

Gives me all the more reason to get caught up on the series. Hopefully they don’t fuck it up with any live service bs.
I can't even bother to sound off a sigh. I'm just that disinterested. I hope they don't have the live service crap either, but I'm not counting anything out. The last time I ever cared about Tomb Raider was the third game and the first live action movie. All I can say is that they make a game that's more fun and self-aware, and doesn't try to take itself too seriously, nor be dark, depressing, and torture pornish.
