I wandered away from the above tweet and found this.

"Aryan Anime Fans"? Dude, I broke out a protractor to measure this and you are owning yourself from every possible angle.
That looks like the final stage form of this tweet

Man I hold that Twitter did not make anime fans hell people in genderal nuts. No from living deep in the internet hopping from forum to forum these kinds of takes and opinions from anime fans have always existed. Why it festers like this in the community to make its own special brand of ass clown I just don't know.

What's the joke?
"haha I'm a racist piece of shit and you got offended by me"?
Person who took the screenshot of that tweet and sent it to Kirby was already in on it. But more obviously Aryan Anime Fans is a joke to begin with. The joke is on weeaboos who think western dubs ruin their precious anime.

The tweet above (in Jarrito3002 comment) is obviously not serious either. But sure you might say that a joke like that is telling of the person's true feelings on the matter... that race-swapping anime characters like that is cringeworthy. But "SpookyJay" in this case probably had dozens of people already say that, so "AIDS Reborn @il0vechrist" added a bit of humor into it.

I... don't see why that's obvious. Some people are genuinely really racist. Why would it be obvious that this rando anime fan isn't?

Exclusivity and people being stuck in their own ass smelling opinion since they were teenagers and closed off in their private forums. I've met one or two and a fans on IMDb forms at the time that try to make excuses for the racism, or try to defend bad stereotypes of black people with anime. Thankfully, they were called out on it, and ended up getting band anyway.

Shoot, I remember some anime/manga fans that were upset that a character was changed to look more like a person instead of a black stereotype and Shaman King. Chocolove (yes, that's the character's name). When later chapters of the manga were brought over in the character was introduced, they got rid of the stereotypical big lips and gave him a normal mouth and face. Most fans were fine with the change, but they were certain fans crying "censorship" or not going with the "author's original intention". Fuck the author's intention. Why you get more character development of Choco, he is still a bad stereotype visually. The author seems to agree, because in the newer adaption that's on netflix, the promotional art has Choco drawn as a normal person and not some exaggerated black stereotype.

I will give the anime industry credit, that more of these artists are actually drawing black or dark skin people as actual people, and not racial or negative stereotypes. It has happened before, but I noticed in the 2010s, that we're seeing more of anime do this, and I have zero problems with it. It can still happen; especially for works that don't leave Japan, but it's good to see that alot of manga artists drop this old design trend. That's why I enjoy anime like Cowboy Bebop, Afro Samurai, Mitchiko & Hatching, etc. so much. Which reminds me, I still got to watch Carol & Tuesday.

Also, seeing those Twitter posts about the racist anime fans reminds me of this old joke from Chip.

We can't know their true feelings on the matter. The tweet is still clearly written as a joke. Sure, somebody using racism as joke material is maybe more likely to be racist themselves compared to somebody who doesn't.

Did we miss Tucker's coming out party or something?

I can. If you're willing to imitate a racist kunt to such a precise and committed degree just to get a reaction from someone who has no doubt had to deal with that shit from countless sincere assholes before, then that makes you no less of a sociopathic kunt. The outcome is the same so the difference is negligible. A kunt's and kunt, whether or not they believe what they're saying.

"kunt" with a k? Oh, the forum bleeps the real deal.

Anyway, Twitter works so that it lists replies after the tweet itself. A joke like this isn't aimed at the original poster, but at other people who happen to read through replies as well as their own followers if there were any (the handle has since switched hands). On the other hand, the Aryan Anime Fan -tweet was aimed straight at the voice actress.

Nevertheless, I don't think I'm a bastard even though I like really mean and edgy humor no matter if it punches up or down. Like, I wouldn't be defending it here otherwise (and these examples are tame still).

That's nothing, you should see the DMC fan forum on DevilMaycry.org

The jackass clearly didn't say it in jest, nor was trying to be funny. Fuck him. Post like that should be called out for what they are. Reminds me of this one other idiot on Twitter that says black voices must sound "black". Black as in a jive talking or Hood sounding stereotype. Good thing everyone called them out for his idiocy.

Say what in jest? You think there are actual ARYAN ANIME FANS? Were the successful trolls successful?

If he's a troll, then he sucks at his job. And his jokes suck. As I mentioned before, I've seen legit people with those types of attitudes that the guy is "trolling about". Point being, people like that are assholes and should be called. Or did you just miss some of the post I have shown earlier.

Why? I genuinely don't see how that's clear or obvious. Some people genuinely think that stuff and express it in ways like that.
That would mean they unintentionally wrote a punchline. And really... saying "anime is a perfect world to escape to" with a straight face would veer heavily into the autistic spectrum. Unless they were joking. And I've already agreed multiple times that the person irl could be whatever and racist too.

But with my reading comprehension the tweet itself is a joke with a clear set up and punchline. Opens with a line that needs elaboration and then instead of something hopeful like "in a world like that you could have different races included without issue" it implies the characters' skin color would ruin this whole experience. And in addition it's not with the usual excuse of "anime is supposed to be JAPANESE".

If he's a troll, then he sucks at his job.
Got a response out of Kirby. It's as petty as can be, but y'know.

All in all, it's a "funny event in anti-woke world", and it's an event that was made funny intentionally. Woke or anti-woke, this consideration always applies. I can't for the life of me think that the people behind those usernames are fucking assholes, because supposedly the first hates that subhuman voice actors ruin their Aryan Anime while the second thinks that their perfect fantasy is ruined if they see a black person. Instead I'm sure they are presenting a weeaboo caricature, likely being self-deprecating anime fans themselves. AFAIK, a lot of anime fans are totally fine with gatekeeping that stuff from regular people and keeping their online communities insular, and naturally that bunch wouldn't care if they're made fun of, and so some turn to embrace it.

Personally I only follow one rule --> anime = bad.

I'm more so focused on Aryan Anime. The other person I could kind of see doing a troll. What that said, if the second person is not trolling, oh well, but I doubt it. And if they are making fun of representing that type of phantom that does exist, I posted the video about that earlier but the No More Heroes gag from Ironicus and Chip.

If all you been watching is crap and the typical shonen slop, then yeah. You have good anime, you have bad anime, and then you have the average and mediocre in between. Sturgeon's law still applies. 90% of everything is crap. Though in anime and AAA gaming's case, it is 95%.

There are a few movies that are good. Anime series have many specific tropes that seem to repeat forever and ever from series to series on and on and on, because the people that make it are anime fans themselves. It's cyclical. Even series that play with the tropes (like Kill la Kill) fall into them anyway... because the creators are anime fans that want to make "good" anime for anime fans.

Kill La Kill at least remembers to have good or interesting characters that develop with bombastic personalities. It's a world of ham in that universe, so it fits. That just makes the more low key and quiet moments, even more special. Oh, and Trigger knew not to pull any Gainax "twist" bull crap ending.

Expressed in ways that always allow a "it's just a joke, man!" or "He's just trolling you lol!" get-out clause that you'd have to be a real bellend to offer them.

So Texas governor Greg Abbott decided that he was going to make it really hard to move shipments across the Mexican border because Mexican agencies weren't kowtowing to his demands.

"There is a sense of urgency now to reach deals that did not exist before," Abbott said, after a week of his policy that one customs agency estimated cost companies $7 million dollars a day due to spoiled food and logistical issues. Oh, and a bonus quote from here:

"The “financial pain” was a necessary consequence to “get the public to insist that their government leaders” take action to curb illegal immigration, Abbott said."

Yep, that's the governor of a state causing millions of dollars in losses in an effort to force foreign agencies to submit to his demands and get his citizenry to "fall in line" with his views. Because brown people bad!
